This kid should be credited a lot for what he's done this season.
He hit a rut for about 5 games, but has been pretty consistent for BU.
Still turnover prone, but that's just his style unfortunately.
His scoring avg. has increased from 6.4 ppg (freshman) to 12.2 (soph) and has taken on a huge role filling in a position that we just don't have anyone else right now that fits Geno's criteria.

Kudos to Walt for sticking in there. I thought about 3 weeks ago that he was seriously sliding and his frustration had gotten the best of him. But he's played solid and kept a winning attitude through all the losing.

I credit Coach Ford for trusting in him all season long when a lot of us were wanting him to see less PT - not to say that he is equipped at the point, but he's gotten better and more under control (???) - hopefully he will be played at the position that will lead to a higher level of success next year. I like his willingness to compete and confidence in shooting even when shots not falling.

I am very optimistic that Walt will continue to develop his game..he is fun to watch...it's just been tough this first year with everything different/new...

The one thing I would like to see Walt do in the offseason is work on his jump shot. He's a great slasher to the hoop but his outside shot looks horrendous, even if it goes in. If he was able to add an outside shot to his tool box, he would be dangerous over the next couple of years.

I would also state that he needs to just take it back a couple of notches. He always seems to be moving as if his hair was on fire. With experience, he should be able to scale it back and know when to attack and when to slow it down a bit.
