Forgot to add, that even with a new coach, Kent State is still 19-7 this season, might finish better than last season without Geno.
Jason
Kent just hit a skid - bad games, mistakes.....have lost two straight - knocking KSU to 3rd place in their East Division behind Akron & Buffalo (who are coming off 8-straight wins & are searching for a new AD)
KSU's RPI (105 with SOS over 200) will require that they would have to win their tourney to go to the NCAA
the only thing that has changed is that 80% of the MVC have shown themselves non-NCAA-worthy, and even perhaps non-NIT-worthy...
On that last topic we talked about - I hear there may indeed be some movement....
I've been out of town since the Drake game and just got back in town..... Did I miss ANYTHING EXCITING with BU basketball?? GO BRAVES!
Yes you did, in fact!
We lost a hard-fought battle with Loyola, IL. But no shame in that - they are a solid team and beat us last time in Peoria.
I'm convinced had we scored 57 points, we would have come out with a big W. But Loyola did a heck of a job holding our leading scorer Jalen Crawford to a season-low 12 points. And everyone knows when you shut down JC, the Braves are beatable.
You also missed BU's sizzling 3-point shooting! We actually hit 4 from dowtown on Saturday night, which is about 4 more than we made the previous game (though we only took 20 3-point attempts)
Furthermore, we did not lose by 20 or more, which has happened quite a few times this season.

Not exciting, but you did miss a mass early exodus of fans near the end of the Loyola game in stunned silence. but hey... this is a process.....
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
