Well we were never going to finish higher than 4th with Les in a hundred years, so how about you give Geno more than 25 games to clean up the mess he left behind?

It is interesting that Wessler hasn't done much "spinning" about the Braves lately. Guys like Wessler and Supine make me sick how they go after coaches like Les and Weber. Sure BU hasn't been as good since their Sweet 16 run, a lot of that had to do with the injury bug that has hit the program the past few seasons, including this one. Sweet 16 sounds pretty good though and how many other BU coaches have led the Braves to that spot? In the case of the Illini, sure this has been a tough year and a tough stretch.
Who led Illinois to the NCAA championship game? Yes, the same coach that is on the hot seat now.

Illinois is lucky to have a coach like Weber, who does things the right way. Bruce is the best thing the Illini have going for them - leave him alone and let him coach - don't make the mistake BU made.

If your looking for heads to roll - get rid of pompous, uneducated, poison penned writers (?) like Wessler and Supine.

The sports world would be much better off with the likes of Les and Weber coaching at BU and Illinois and the likes of Wessler and Supine on the unemployment line.

Geno will have 5 years. But should we all be as blind as you to ignore the obvious?

            Story from BradleyBraves.com-
PEORIA, Ill. ? Playing without injured scoring leader Taylor Brown, Bradley (7-22) could not come up with enough offense to overcome Loyola-Chicago (7-19) Saturday night in the Sears BracketBusters contest.

            Official box score-

And I support Geno 100%, he's our coach. And I am not a friend of Jim Les. I barely knew him, so nice try.
And no coach in Bradley history was lambasted as much as JL was, so stop acting so thin skinned.
You realize that saying "I support Geno 100%" is vastly different from what it is that you are actually doing, right?

Again, EVERYONE OUTSIDE OF PEORIA picked Bradley last in the MVC this season, so apparently most everyone DID see that we would be this bad. We lost the leading scorer in the MVC from a last place team last year, so I for one totally expected a horrible season this year. SIU's first few games gave me hope that they were even worse than us, but alas they really weren't as bad as they looked that first few games. The loss to a bad bad Western Carolina team at home drove home the point that we were destined to be a distant last in the MVC this season. So exactly who thought we'd be so much better than we are? And the better question is why? Rose colored glasses?

I'm of the opinion that there are more than a couple of folks who couldn't be more pleased.

Just to clarify, more pleased about what? Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, I just don't understand your post.

By the way- here is one more "worst" for Dave Reynolds to report on in tomorrow's paper-
Bradley dropped their 9th home game of the season tonight. Bradley is 6-9 at home, the worst home record (.400) and the most home losses since the 1954-1955 team went 5-10 at home. It guarantees that Bradley will have a losing home record this year, something that hasn't happened in 20 years.
For as much as some people ripped the previous coach for not winning enough at home, he never had a losing record in any season at home, and his overall home record was 102-41 (71.3%).

I am not saying anything more than what Geno himself is saying. Do you ever listen to him on his show? He has said that when we suck, we should say that they suck. He was quite critical on his show, much more so than anything I or anyone else here has said. He said we played awful. Maybe we shouldn't allow Geno to criticize his own team?

Not pleased, just prophetic. No fan is pleased to see how far we have fallen and it didn't have to happen. And to suggest this team was expected to be this bad, then most people who actually watch the games, including Geno himself, Dave Snell, and everyone else including the record books would disagree.

I think that most people on this board and in the Peoria area thought that this would be a long year. What I did not expect is a staff that is so woefully inept with their offensive sets and the lack of any real improvement with most of the players. When JP is getting the ball in the block, he is either triple teamed or not in a position to put up a high percentage shot. This late in the season, our players are STILL jacking up shots extremely early in the shot clock. Around the 8 minute mark in the second half tonight, it was evident that our players were gassed. We have 22 losses this year. Someone... anyone give me a reason why we should not play Milos, DS, Hodges..etc...I am not saying that playing these people would make a difference, but wouldn't it be nice to give these players some experience? As everyone knows, against Drake we were 0-20 shooting from the three point arc. At what point in the game does the staff take the players aside and set up some schemes to pass the ball around for an attempt at a decent mid-range shot.. We have players who are good mid-range shooters... Maybe 0-10 or 0-12 from the arc??? smh Oh wait that would involve offensive sets that utilize multiple screens which is a concept that is not evident from this staff this year! Porter Moser was experimenting with different defensive schemes tonight, yet I see little if any creativity from this staff! Tonight was yet another inexcusable embarrassment!
                                Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
