Actually, the biggest criticism of Weber in his tenure has related to his lack of recruiting. He was criticized that he could only win with players he inherited from Bill Self. Then for several years he didn't recruit enough talent after that group of Self players left. He has improved his recruiting the last 2 or 3 years, finally landing some of the best talent in Illinois, but he still hasn't been about to land the All Big Ten level talent that fans expect. -
