sometimes it's hard to pick the MOST ridiculous - but I think today this one wins..
a herd of women (actually three, but if they are wrestlers, then I figure they can best be described as a herd - but I am probably risking a lawsuit in saying so..)
filed a lawsuit against UC-Davis because UCD did not offer ...get this...
a women's wrestling team!!!
UCD paid a $1.35 million settlement only a tiny fraction of which I suspect made it past the lawyers..
the costs incurred then so financially hurt the school that they decided to cancel both the men's & women's wrestling teams...and so now they have NEITHER-- hope that makes everyone happy...
