  • Taylor Brown's toe injury

Taylor Brown's injury was described as a sprained toe. He said post-game that he should be OK for the next game. Let's hope so.

Ugh...that is never good. I know we have some docs in the house who can probably verify this, but I have always heard that a sprained toe is one of the worst lingering injuries a bball player can suffer. It reduces your ability to explode to the basket, get lift on your jumper, and shift quickly on offense or especially defense.

I believe Derrick Rose is dealing with the same injury and what started as day-to-day turned into about 3 weeks of on-again, off-again playing time.

Hopefully this is very minor. I would hate to see TB finish his senior season this way.
      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

This could be devastating to BU...

I'm gonna go out on a limb here. A bb team without a leader is like a foot without a big toe. And now TB might not be here to be that big toe for BU.

I doubt he plays against Loyola, hopefully back for ISU game but very hard to play with this type of injury.
