I sat next to a poster who astutely pointed out that our defense rotated very well in the first half. That is an improvement from the beginning of the year. I also believe that we got tired in the second half. My main pet peeves remain our lack of screens on offense and the fact that a lot of our guys do not use the glass with inside shots. --not using the glass on inside shots is a carry over from last year with a lot of players--Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

This reminds me a lot of Coach Mo's first season where Loyola came in for a late non-conference game (no Bracketbuster back then) and was also one of the few teams we beat that year. It looks like history could repeat itself, at least hopefully.

Hmmmm
No problem with players efforts....
Woods has a huge heart and is just as good as many players in the Mvc ... Just doesn't have the size of some ... Should really be proud of accomplishments.
Now for our gf coach..he's over his head...post game comments say our shot selection was good.... His offense is drive to basket ..no options.. WL did what he could with offense but thos aren't good shots. There's really no organized offense. Poor Three point shots are a symptom of a poor offensive scheme.
I'm sure some of you will disagree but when you do let us know how much you played ... I only played in HS.

I think saying Geno is in over his head is pretty harsh. He's not even had a full season to recruit and bring his players into his system. Can we please please please give him some time to really prove whether or not he's got what it takes to win at this level?
I think overall our shot selection was not great (mostly in the 2nd half), but it wasn't poor by any means. Some of our previous games showed some very very poor shot selection. The offense and defense I thought looked GREAT for 90% of the first half. Defensive rotation and help was the best I've seen out of this group all year. I thought the offensive sets were also pretty good for most of the first half. Guys were moving and we were getting the ball inside. BUT, when we shoot so poorly from the perimeter, that allows the opposition to sag and take away our inside game and our cuts/rolls/etc. Obviously Drake made a good adjustment to that in the 2nd half, and that's when we started to look unorganized and started taking some questionable shots. I'll leave my rant at that.
Hats off to WL for putting the team on his back. I question his shot selection near the end of the game and I feel like he was trying to do everything instead of using his speed and penetration to maybe get an easy layup from Pross or a trailer at times.
All in all, I think we've taken some great steps forward on the defensive end. On offense, I feel like IF we had a solid perimeter shooter, we'd all be a little happier because we'd have a few more wins by now. Just my opinion take it or leave it.
BTW, I only played through HS and pick-up/intramural games while at BU; so take my opinion for what it's worth...not much

I would say Bradley has improved the last few games to the point they were at last season. Maybe not going 0 for 20 on 3's but to the point of where they are losing the close games instead of 30 point blowouts.
I am encouraged by Shayok's Free Throw improvement. He has made 5 of his last 6 FT's after going 11 for 29 before that. Unfortunately, he is just 5 for 24 on 3's and 38 for 107 on FG's. 21% on 3's and 36% FG.

Just my humble opinion...Geno is NOT in over his head...I think he will be just fine...like Ben said...I liked the defense in the 1st half and thought we started the 2nd half flat, maybe a byproduct of TB being injured...and then thought some players were out of energy late...
Prosser did a better job than AT..when it came to doubling the ball...maybe AT got tired?
Milos has got to be beside himself...with all those missed threes, and he doesn't get off the bench...Peoria Toyota Scion

You can't do more then what you have been given
If it is still like this in 2-3 years then I might start to agree w/ you but I really think you will see a big difference
