Good luck to Mo and his Leathernecks. I'm so happy he is turning that program around. We probably wouldn't have wanted to play them this year. He is bringing in good kids and good players to help him turn that mess into something respectable. If my memory serves me right ,he got a committment from Big Michael O that we tried to recruit but couldn't get the clearing house to approve. Michael will really help that program keep progressing to one of the better teams in the Summit league. Get a wiin tonight WIU the Big dance is 2 games away.

Breaking it down:
If ORU wins the league tourney, SDSU is a bubble team for the NIT and I don't think they make it. Since I don't see the CIT or CBI taking 2 Summit schools, Oakland squeezes WIU out of a postseason.
If SDSU wins the league tourney, ORU goes to the NIT and Oakland takes an EIEIO spot. So it's a matter of getting one of the CBI or CIT (whichever doesn't take Oakland) sold on Mo. Same analysis applies if Oakland wins, although the small chance of both ORU and SDSU in the NIT would cinch it for WIU.
I've got them projected out for the moment, but a lot of teams do decline bids...

The rate they are going, maybe the Summit League will get a team into the Sweet Sixteen one of these years!

It's possible the Summit League could get four postseason bids, which is probably what the CBI and the CIT were designed to do.

It is to their advantage they're in MVC territory - with about 421 MVC teams in line for EIEIOs, WIU can become a convenient 1st round road team.
