Taylor Brown has got to figure out that if he's having an off-night, he needs to do other things to contribute. Every time he drives to the basket with 3 men defending I always scream for him to kick it back out. I understand being a little selfish when you're on a bad team, but over the last few games I've noticed it more and it's been bothering me. Most of Taylor's 11 missed shots were on contested drives to the bucket.

Taylor made some good plays on the defensive end, but Bradley rarely seems to get all aspects of their game in sync on the same day. Obviously we need more consistent shooters to break through against teams that are strong defensively. But a good effort by the Braves today as it is usually pretty difficult to win in Springfield.

Story from BradleyBraves.com-
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Anthony Downing had 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Caleb Patterson added 14 points as Missouri State defeated Bradley 64-53 on Sunday. Kyle Weems scored 11 points for the Bears (16-11, 9-6 Missouri Valley), giving him 1,800 for his career. He is the 26th player in MVC history to reach that milestone. Dyricus Simms-Edwards had 18 points and six rebounds, and Walt Lemon Jr. had 13 points for the Braves (7-20, 2-13), who shot 29.8 percent (17 of 57) from the floor. Keith Pickens gave Missouri State the lead for good, 41-40, on a jumper with 12:13 remaining, and neither team scored for more than four minutes afterward. While Bradley stayed cold, the Bears got separation, as Patterson made back-to-back baskets to spark a 21-11 run over the final 6:56. Patterson, in his second game back after missing three contests with an ankle injury, made 5 of 11 shots from the field. Jordan Prosser had 10 points for Bradley.

I saw the first half on ESPN3 before I had to leave for a concert. They played really good D, but they wasted WAY too many turnovers. Fortunately the Bears were missing too. I liked the progress, and we weren't blown out. Team's still getting better, and just an 11 point deficit for the L, I'll take it, this could be turning it around for Geno... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

As I said earlier in the chat, TB has been a no show the last couple of games. Well, we are going to be playing without him next year, so might as well start learning how to play without him. Not a knock on TB, but it seems like Valley opposition has been defending him better the second time around.
