  • Loyola lands two kids out of Texas

Since they are our BracketBuster opponent and since local product Jeff White is going to be there next year I thought this was relevant

Porter Moser just got two verbals from kids who are available for this fall...
this brings the total of NEW players this fall to six..
Jeff White, Darrell Combs, Nick Osborne, Matt O'Leary, plus the two new guys Jeremy King & Devon Turk.
Rivals also says Keith Carter has verballed but many sites say he has reneged and reopened his recruitment

All are kinda way under the radar - three are unrated

Porter still has quite the rebuilding job to go through there. It looks like next year will be another long year for the Ramblers.

Comcast just had the Loyola game against UIC - two really sad teams that are at the bottom of the Horizon --

but Loyola actually dominated UIC from start to finish!!

I heard someone say that we really can't or shouldn't expect BU to be getting anyone at this time and it's because last year we didn't get the verbal from Ka'Darryl until September...

But that was when Geno only had a couple months of preparation and lead time - he had just been hired.....and even so - the two guys we got (Bell & Tyshon Picket) were fairly obscure and passed over by others and I'm not sure that's the kind of recruit you really want to bank on landing year after year...
especially now that our coach has had a year and a half leading time to get commitments from kids.
Plus - we can already see from AJ Riley's words (not my words, but his exact words) - that we are losing recruits by NOT letting them know that they are priorities...

What better way of telling a kid he simply isn't a priotity than to wait 'til September, October, or November to lay the offer on the table or try to land the verbal?

I understand what you're saying but maybe just maybe A.J isn't one of our priorties? I think A'J's words about the two guards sitting out tell us more about the situation then what your trying to portray. Am I concerned that we have no comittments ? Yes, I wish we did but lets wait and see what happens by the signing date. If we have 3 or 4 to sign in the spring then maybe it's time to be worried. I was told years ago "patience is a virtue." I think Geno will turn this mess around. Keep the faith.
