Indiana St. beats Southern Illinois 78-68. The most impressive stat of the game would have to be Indiana St. going 12 for 12 from 3 point range! Printy with 6, Lathan with 2, Richard with 2, and Eitel with 2.
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

If that 12-12 isn't a record, it has to be close...

According to Indiana State's Website: Previous single-game 3pt FG % highs. (At least 10 made)

Doesn't seem like a very comprehensive list though. Most highs were recorded from 2003-2010 so I'm not sure that they have the stats from before that.

A BIG, BIG game in the Valley ready to get going shortly as Wichita St. visits Creighton with first place in the Valley on the line. Up to a week ago, I would have said that the Shockers need this game more as they don't want to go into Selection Sunday with two losses to Creighton, even though the rest of their resume looks good. But now I think Creighton needs this game a LOT more as a three game losing streak probably drops Creighton down to a dangerous seed line. I would not want to put Creighton's NCAA Tournament hopes into the hands of the selection committee!

As has been the case the last month or so, Wichita State clearly looks like the dominant team over Creighton. For some reason, Wichita State hasn't even cracked the Top 25 but Creighton still sits in the top 20. Currently Wichita State up by 13 at the half against Creighton.

If Creighton wasn't ranked most of the season, they probably be lucky to get in the big dance with the play the last month.

That will change Monday. If this score holds up, expect Wichita St. to be ranked and Creighton to be out of the top 25, or maybe hanging on by a thread (which could give the Valley the rare two ranked teams). Don't know if that will happen though as Creighton doesn't deserve to be ranked after the way they have played the last three games!

A 19 point lead for the Shockers now! Yikes! Creighton doing their best to play their way out of the Big Dance.

So we all had Creighton around the 3 line and Wichita around the 7 line. Why don't we just swap them now and call it a day?

What a disgusting effort by Creighton! But Wichita St. deserves a lot of credit for that too. I hate to bring out the "eye test", but Wichita St. has so much depth and an explosive offense and great defense that they definitely look like a Final Four caliber team right now. And Creighton's defense has been suspect all year anyway, something that rears it's head against the better teams.

Finally, remember how Bradley played two very competitive games against Creighton while getting slaughtered both times against Wichita St. Forget how bad we have been this year. I think that says everything right there. Even we put up 84 points on Creighton in Peoria this year. WSU put up that much on us both times. I think that clearly says the Shockers are far and away the best team in the Valley, even though the announcers today thought that Creighton is still in good shape. I'm not so sure though.

Sounds good, although I'm not sure Creighton isn't now a 9 or 10 seed! I know the selection committee takes into account the entire resume, but 3 straight loses can't be good. If Creighton does get a 7 seed even after all this, then that's a sign of respect for the strength of the Valley which is a good thing. I'm not sure 7 is a given though, at least right now.

What should be given though is a top 25 ranking for Wichita St. Monday afternoon.

Creighton peaked too early and now is slumping - wrong time...
Creighton's defense against the Shockers looked weaker than ours...and Stutz barely played!

                              Chris Lowery's seat getting hotter
