UK/Anthony Davis/?impermissible benefits

Has anyone noticed how little NCAA seems to do when it's some big name Kentucky athlete doing this kind of stuff - and these posters are selling like crazy?
The only reason UK seems to be getting involved is because they are NOT getting a cut of the $$

Not hard to figure out what went on here. Can anyone say Cam Newton's Daddy. Kentucky has been accused of this violation B4,maybe someday they will get what's coming to them. I don't understand why more schools don't blow the whistle on people who ask for perks to get their kids to sign with them when they go elsewhere. Maybe then it would stop. Not seeing the article we don't know who squealed but someone must have. If Kentucky did give the old man $$$$, I would hope the NCAA would penalize them to the max but, don't look for that to happen.

Impermissible Benefits

I believe that the original story in the Sun Times alleged that Davis' family got $200,000 from Kentucky. At the time, there was a lot of talk about the family filing a lawsuit against the Times and the writer. I don't recall seeing that a suit has actually been filed.

When it comes to Kentucky, I think it will take another situation with money actually falling out of a FedEx package before somebody decides that they can't keep looking the other way.

Of course after numerous threats to file lawsuits agains the Sun Times and their writers - the family of Anthony Davis simply disappeared and never said another word.
(but UK has taken up the fight by using all their clout - see below)
Scott Powers, who writes for ESPN and the Tribune has still consistently sided with the Sun Times and challenged the Davises to file their suit because he says then the evidence will prove what a lot of people know - that just maybe the offer was there...

You have to understand that many of these media sites are now in bed with the very teams and conferences they are supposed to be objectively reporting on...
Kentucky's own SEC Conference has a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR deal with ESPN...so it might just be in their best interest for ESPN to stay quiet on all this, which they have...

When CBSSports' Gary Parrish simply asked for access to some interviews on this subject - he was threatened with denied media access to the entire university and all it's sports programs..
