Riding high into St. Louis

Last season, Indiana State caught lightining in a bottle and ended up beating the best of the Valley to win Arch Madness.
I know it's hard to see right now because there is a mess of teams from positions 3-7 who are hovering around .500 and nobody is really separating themselved in the pack.

Who do you see catching fire in the home stretch of the season and might be the most dangerous team you wouldn't want to face on Friday and who could possibly knock off CU or WSU?

I think any team is capable of beating any other team this year. But there are a few interesting matchups to watch. I think Missouri State matches up particularly well with Creighton, and if they end up seeing each other in the tournament, I wouldn't be surprised if MSU won. At this point I would say that Wichita State is the favorite in STL.

Given the title, I thought that this thread was about my upcoming road trip to see Radiohead in St Louis the week after the MVC Tournament. j/k

I think ISU red (sad to say) could be a team with a run in them. That being said, I would not want to play WSU in the tournament.

DO NOT look ahead of your next match!! We have to beat #7 before we even think about #1!

Speaking of #7-#10 game.... If #10 wins - they should play the #1 seed, but if #7 seed wins, why don't they play the #2 seed and the winner of the #8-#9 game play the #1 seed? The NFL waits to see who wins and high plays low and so on??

The reason I've been told is the early game on Thursday should play the early game on Friday. On Thursday, if the 1 vs 8,9 or 10 game changes to 2:30 and let the 4/5 play at noon. Everybody should have enough rest time. This should not be a scouting issue since everybody knows everybody by then!

If I'm the #1 seed - I would rather play #8 or #9 vs. #7. Just a thought.

just the way the brackets are made...
The NFL knows each opponent has a week or more to prepare for their next game ......
but in St. Louis, you could have as little as 15 hours to be ready for that opponent...
So maybe drawing the brackets the way it is - is so the #1 or #2 teams at least know who to prepare for....narrowed down to 2 possibilities -- instead of not knowing among 4 possible opponents who they're playing just a few hours later on Friday.

I am thinking Evansville could be a threat, but they don't seem to play consistently enough right now.

The 4-5 and 3-6 match ups should be really good ones.

Would like to see:

#3 ISU - red vs. #6 UNI
#4 MSU vs. #5 Evansville

I could see both those games going down to the wire.

Obviously I'd love to see the Braves make some waves in the tourney, but barring that, I'd like to see someone other than CU or WSU win so the MVC has a shot at 3 teams in the NCAA tournament.

Lightsout , I too would love to see us send 2,600 plus Jays fans home. They are by far the WORSE fans in the league. I should clarify that,not the adults ,the students. I'm so happy I've NEVER seen BU students act like Creightons. BU students take as a compliment now show up and brings the Braves some W's in St. Louis.

I cannot understand why the administration at Creighton allows their students to act the way they do at the tour, not a secret that their students are drunk and obnoxious, saw several of them excorted out by security 2 years ago , Jesuit school my as-!

I agree - just the students!

Over the years, our small group has enjoyed many laughs and great times with some of the donors of Creighton while in St. Louis (I think they are good donors since they fly to St. Louis in private jets!!). Great people and lots of fun. Students are drunk and stupid - the CU adults are even embarrassed about them.
