Congrats to Tennessee St. for handing Murray St. their first loss of the season, 72-68. A win made even more remarkable since it came on the road. This is Tennessee State's first ever win over a ranked team, and a top 10 team at that! This also clinches the first winning season for Tennessee St. since 1996, and keeps their slim chance at a first place OVC finish alive.

I have occasionally mentioned a kid on Tennessee State that JL was interested in but didn't have a scholarship for because he was holding it for John Wilkins...
The kid is Robert Covington - who helped knock off Murray State last night with his 17 pts/8 rebs.....
Covington got virtually no other interest coming out of Proviso West - but JL would have taken him in a snap had JW not had the ride tied up then failed to gain admission.
Covington is a tremendously athletic 6-9 player who can play inside and out and who has averaged 12, 13, and now 18 ppg in his 3 years at Tennessee State, and 8 reb per game to go with 43% shooting from beyond the arc...
Hmmm.. just one more way that John Wilkins messed us up...

I saw that Murray State's RPI dropped to 53 after that loss. The good news for the MVC is that Wichita State has an 18 RPI and Creighton has a 22 RPI.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
