When the opposing coach asked the refs about the rule, the home team was winning by one point and the refs imposed a technical foul - the visiting team then ended up rallying while the penalized home team floundered and lost 62-47.
The article claims the opponents used "terrible sportsmanship" but in reality they played by the rules and used the rule to their advantage. Isn't this just the home team's stupidity and ignorance of the rules that are on the books?
This same, exact violation a couple years ago in Illinois cost Chicago North Lawndale HS a State Championship but I don't recall anyone feeling sorry for them or saying it was bad sportsmanship to enforce their rule/uniform violation.
