I want to thank the entire team and coaches for playing defense. Hats off to JC for going 3/4 from downtown and WL for making 15/16 free throws. If WL doesn't make all those, this game could have ended in a real ugly loss and cancelled out our great defensive effort.

Was it just me or did anyone else notice Willie Scott being in ???Coach mode??? more last night than he has been before? I love it when Willie turns to the fans and asks us to stand up, I hope he continues to encourage the people that sit by me to stand up.

I remain convinced we have the talent to compete - there is no gap that is as wide as the Grand Canyon

After last night, I have more hope than at any time during this Valley season.
Maybe it was the drastic swing from the last 2 games to this one (???)
But our role guys seemed to be doing just that last night. No selfishness last night whatsoever. And we won with arguably our 2 best players scoring in single digits!!
Would be nice to get 3 more home wins and play well for our last 2 roadies.
We should take the good from last night's game and roll with it!

I think TB's funk is over - he will score in double-digits the rest of the way.
To be honest, I think he was growing weary - the physical and mental grind of this difficult season. I think the W last night will get him back on track.

Took many trips to the arena in Terre Haute. Always great fans. We were invited to their social room before the game and at halftime. Drake fans aren't far behind.

I also think that the staff made some nice adjustments and this seemed to be a game in which we were not afraid to try something new! Hats off to the staff for this!
Yeah, too bad though that Geno took this long to make the adjustments. But hopefully he will continue to do so from here on out.

And I do agree with others that WL's 15 free throws made the difference, which regardless of coaching, making the free throws got us the win.

FWIW... Both Valley wins were Willie Scott's scout.

Chico the Drake fans are a close second. Last time I was there we went to a bar just a few blocks away with some Drake fans. Nice evening except we lost.

Congrats to the Braves for this win......

Not wanting to be Debbie Downer - But this ISUb team is not very good right now with some key injuries. Even with that said - If Braves keep playing like a team on both ends of the floor....Good things can happen!

I have always said - these are good kids with some talent. Just needs to be used the correct way. Playground ball in a couple of years with the right players. BUT NOT NOW! Coaches SHOULD adapt to the players they currently have.

I thought Indiana State had everybody back. Was I missing somebody?

They would have kicked out butts had we come out like we did vs. Evansville - not taking care of the ball, lacking intensity and toughness, etc.
It was a credit to the staff and players for making adjustments.

I just think that Indy St. lost a couple good outside shooters from last year that makes them beatable. (Kelly & that Brave-killer whose name I can't remember) They are still decent for a bottom half Valley team.

Indiana State utilized a lot of screens to get their players a decent shot. Would love to see more screens from our team.

Now we realize that Greg Lansing and the entire Indiana State team were doomed from the outset...

they came out of their lockerroom and onto the court through the WRONG tunnel and came out on the Bradley bench side...

BTW -- Indiana State's Non-Conference Strength of Schedule has now plummeted to 301 (worst in the MVC) and their beat writer notes that this is gonna work against them in any tie-breaker scenario..

Exactly. Again, that it took Geno this long to realize this concerns me a bit. But maybe he thought the level of competition in the Valley was still easy enough to continue the "playground" ball method of basketball he was trying to teach this team. But it doesn't work against the very defensive minded teams out of the Valley, with better overall talent than the MAC has as well. Hopefully he can continue to adjust to the players he has, because even the best recruiters won't always find the exact fit every time.
