Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Abell can play PG but right now he's playing backup but...
his numbers are pretty danged impressive...
For the 6-0 Hoosiers....Abell is hitting 72.2% from the floor, 87.5% from 3-pt range, and averages 7.8 ppg - the guy just may be getting a bit more playing time soon...

He's also averaging 7.5 ppg and 12 mpg in their two games decided by less than 25 points. Not saying he wouldn't help BU but the kid isn't walking over water. Come conference play I cant imagine he's more than an afterthought in his sophomore season."How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it." - Jim Valvano

I'm definitely more on T's side on this issue. I believe RA would have been in contention of being an All Valley Player in his career. I'd also have to believe he'd be our PG this year!"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Abell didn't score much (4 pts) yesterday in Indiana's blowout 101-53 win over Ball State, but they didn't need him to score. He played 21 minutes off the bench, which was more than a couple starters played, and if you watched any of the game, you would have seen him playing tremendous defense. He is their best defensive guard, and he was partly responsible for Ball State's top 2 scorers going 1-10 from three, and their guards going 1-15 from three.

I tend to agree with this argument when a kid ends up as a deep reserve. But Remy is not just a common bench player, nor just a role player- he is a valuable part of this year's IU national championship caliber team. He is one their top 2 reserves, and leads the team in FG% (72.2%) and 3-Pt% (87.5%) by a wide margin. He is their top scorer among players who have not started, and may be their best defender.
Just to show how valuable his coaches and teammate consider Remy to be- When Indiana defeated Georgetown in overtime last week to win the Legends Classic tournament in Madison Square Garden, NYC, who was it carrying the trophy around for the media photos? It was Remy- that is not an honor you'll see common role players getting-

Remy posted this picture (top 2 links) of the championship celebration, and got some responses from others who think he is a special player.
Anyway, Remy seems pretty happy with his role, and I don't think he is regretting his decision to go to Indiana-

And let me remind that Remy Abell was signed to a LOI for Bradley, People will believe whatever they want, but there is little doubt he would be here.
I still can't understand all the fallout doubters.
Can you and T stop talking about fallout? Enough already.....
Let's not worry about who didn't come here or why and focus on who is here and who we hope shows up in the future.
I am quite sure the BU players and coaches who are here now could give a **** about who didn't come, who left, or why....
And I bet they are also sick of coming onto this supposed BU support site (if they still do) and continuing to read about JL, CH, RA, SM, UCD, fall out blah blah blah blah blah.
If I was a recruit of BU's who reviews this site, I would think BU fans are stuck in the past, hate each other, and think the current team/coaching staff are a bunch of stiffs.
JL should still be here and Mitt should have beat Obama....

Wait, aren't you one who scoffs at the suggestion that recruits read message boards?
As long as their are fallout denyers, there will be fallout believers. We did not need to become this bad. As I have said many times, other schools rebuild without setting all-time school records for most losses (25), fewest MVC wins (2) and lowest finishes (10th place). And for your sake, AZ, I won't even get into largest blowout margins.

My point is WHO CARES.... What was done was done. MOVE ON.... Crying over lost coaches will not do one thing to help the current/future program.
I am still struggling to understand the purpose of posters on this site wanting to continuously second guess the past JL, SM, CH, RA, UCD, etc etc
Is this doing BU any good right now or down the road?
Isn't there enough positive in the program in year 2 to focus on?
Are some people's egos so big that they want to 'hang their hats' on their JL support and their 'I told you so' till the end of time?
Or is there some hidden agenda to p*** off the current players and coaches with the constant:
"We coulda had class, we coulda been a contender, we coulda been somebody, instead of bums, which is what we are, let's face it, it was all about firing Les"
Is this supposed to make the current players play harder, smarter, better

This has nothing to do with JL. So again it is brought up, not by me, but by others who wanted him gone. This is about Bradley, and I am a positive person. I "hang my hat" on Bradley winning, so it hurts to see us at the bottom of the league.
