I see talent in all of the freshmen - I hope we keep them all around and give them plenty of time to develop - and by the time they're seniors we should have a fine team

That is a season where Geno Ford won almost 20 games (they won 19!) in his very first year there at Kent State & got a post-season bid -
They were 10-6 and finished among the leaders in their conference, were 13-3 at home and 7-1 at home in conference games,
...they BEAT a few of their opponents by 40 points - and the only had a couple bad losses - one by 27 pts AT Kansas...
THE ONLY way in which this is comparable is that this represents the most unreasonable, ridiculous, whiney, immature criticism in a setting where the vast majority of fans are HAPPY and NOBODY should be complaining at all !!!
At Kent he had alot of success in conference but not in the tourney maybe this yr he is holding out for ARCH MADNESS, Yr 1 is not over, if he wins 3 games before st louis and atleast 1 in st louis, does he still suck or because there are no divison 1 players on this team lol no bigman, no point guard. Does this make him the best coach ever?
Bottom line is give him

I agree -- all I am saying is that the situation at KSU was way different - at the time that website post was written in March of 2009, Geno had already led Kent State to a 19-win season and Kent State was playing pretty well -
Starting off at BU with a 1-12 conference start is a way different ball game so to say Geno has "been here before" is a bit misleading --
All Geno had to do was increase his win total by a few and decrease his loss total from 15 to 12 (a roughly 30% improvement) - and that would be good enough for Bradley to be awed and break the bank to hire him away
Here, Geno's gonna have to multiply his success 1400% and increase the conference win total from 1 to at least 13-14 if he's going to expect to finish better than 4th in the MVC - which is apparently the bare minimum standard for most fans...

"If you cant handle me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best" Marilyn Monroe.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is Geno's worst!
I accept this and am moving forward!
This is super hard for all of us!
Yes all signs point to Geno being in over his head and its real bad on paper right now but the turnaround is also gonna look real good on paper!
Next yr we will go from having what some say no pgs to 3 with stewart, bell, and walt.
Front line of Hodges,SS,WE,JP,NW,TP
Also Eastman,DSE,Milos maybe if not a JUCO big maybe?,
This is all just getting blown way out of porportion for not even being through his first season. But He's Been Here Before! I dont think its as bad as it looks on paper, so the turnaround should be fast. He has plenty to work with here, lets let him put the facilities to work and see the result! Go Braves, Heres to 40 mins tomorrow night! Weve been taking the lumps of the worst lets have the feel good of the best! We all DESERVE this, GENO and staff,PLAYERS,FANS, Lets go Bradley dun dun dundundun, Lets Go Bradley dun dun dundundun

Don't really care if he has been here before...we all see new challenges in front of us...Geno strikes me as someone that will take it on and get through it...
Hate what the team is going through, I am sure no one is enjoying this season...from top to bottom this has to hurt everyone...
There are better days coming...patience

Hodges looks like a beast but also has not had a chance to shine, To say these 3 are not nice recruits, is just being critical of Geno, Bell should make 4 and the Picket makes 5 so what I should've said is he has brought in 5 nice recruits, I said nice not GREAT or 5 star!
And I'm sorry, but Shayok has gone through a lot of growing pains, and we haven't seen him be successful this year. For being touted as the best guy in practice, he has only showed us rare flashes of that in actual games. Not giving up on him - just saying his freshman year I would not categorize as "nice". DR, SM, AW, DSE all had "nice" freshman seasons - just to name a few in recent years.

How do we go from Walt not being a PG this year to Walt becoming a PG next year? All 3 will likely go through major struggles next year. Hopefully Bell will exceed expectation and make an immediate impact. If Stewart is not playing now, don't see him getting much of a chance for seasons to come.

There seems to be a debate out there about how big of a deal this is, or how "bad it is." Depending on how they see it, some are wanting to play it up or play it down. It's becoming very political.
My strategy is to just look at facts and reality, and deal with it. This is the lowest point for Bradley Basketball in my lifetime. Outside of the point-shaving scandal, this is likely the lowest point in Bradley Basketball history.
It hurts more because of how quickly it fell from a very big "high" in 2006.
For my own sanity I have had to dial way back. It is too painful.Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.
