Its all we have left! This is about TB and Stix! Crazier things have happend! But sure blame Ford, Glasser, Cross, Blame whoever you want, its on all of us, This is sick, just plain sick, Fans are quitting, the program is in a transitioning stadge, and everyone wants to freak out! Get it togeather people, you expect these kids to do what? Ya, they played another bad half! Its a mess that NONE of these kids signed up for, thats the saddest part for me, this is a talented group of kids and I can only think that individualy they are coming togeather! KW is a good guy and a GREAT sports writer and a heck of a ref too! But the finish to his article was a low blow, You wanna say Geno Ford sucks, thats one thing hes a man! But, back off these kids they do not suck, they didnt do this to us! It is what it is, bad decisions from the top and this is the mess we are dealing with, enjoy the rest of this season fans, Stix and TB are done after this, who knows who will be back? But these kids need our support so send them some friend requests on FB or a tweet on twitter what ever it maybe IF YOU SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM and by no means am I talking about pocket books here, Now is the time to show it! Buy a Billboard, Stand on a street corner holding a sign whatever it is like NIKE " "JUST DO IT"

You are absolutely right. All I care about at the end of the day is if these guys earn their degrees and live a productive and happy life after they graduate. It is about making them decent citizens that can contribute positively to society, and I admit that we all sometimes make the game a lot more important than it is, myself included. Basketball is just game when all is said and done, but they all have the rest of their lives ahead of them. That's the most important thing here.Originally posted by Bradleyfan1 View Post

A lot of us use sports as the occasional outlet from our lives, and don't think that the state of this program is acceptable right now. My only point where I have to respectably disagree here is KW. I'm glad he finally called out the team and the coach a little bit today (loved his "Vegas Vacation" reference too as I thought I was the only who could quote that movie). But he certainly never gave Les the honeymoon that he gave Geno, and that's why I have a dislike of this guy. He called out Les from day one because of him being "unqualified" for the job when he should have gone after the administration if he was so upset. So I'm glad this was not one of his recent "puff" pieces praising the team's effort. Even a person with no knowledge of sports would see last night's game was a disaster! -
Teams will always lose some fans with prolonged losing. Bradley has a tremendous fan base, and I think most fans will stay supportive. But there also needs to be some positive signs or improvement somewhere, and that's where the problem is. That being said- Go BU!Comment

We absolutely should support our seniors that have worked really hard to get where they are now. I try to tweet a couple times a week to a couple of the leaders on the team to give them confidence and give kudos for their effort or good performance. I believe some on here do the same.
Yes, they do have talent too, but there's something missing with this group, and I think it's obvious that one thing is the disparity in talent throughout the roster compared to the rest of the teams in the league. And we as fans are expecting Geno to get guys in here that can compete night in and night out with the rest of the Valley because the supporters of BU basketball deserve better than this...as does the team itself.
Let's keep believing in these kids as Bf1 pushes for and not give up on the season as would be so easy to do.
But I think that the fans who have expressed their displeasure in our performance since the UNI game have legitimate concerns and comments that need to be addressed for us to get better. And no way should we get our butts kicked like we've witnessed in a few of our games this year with the excuse that we came out flat and lacked energy. Yes, even the players need to be accountable for that. That said, it's STILL up to Geno to get them to respond, and that seems tough with this group that he inherited - with players that have given the same excuses before he got here.Comment

Missouri State finished last in 2008-2009 at 3-15
In 2009-2010 the Bears finished 7th at 8-10
In 2010-2011 they finished 1st with a 15-3 record
I don't think we will be contending for a title until year 4. But it is possible.

agree - many teams' home attendance drops by HALF when they do poorly -- ISU actually had a streak of 25-win seasons and their home attendance still plummetted by nearly half...Originally posted by Da Coach View Post

I have to think that a majority of the BU fan loyalty comes from BU being a "community" team not a young, large school student based fan team. I think if this were Duke, OH State or maybe even U of I doing this horrible, they would lose a ton of fans at the games.

BU has a great fan base but certainly isn't immune to losing good fans -- I talked again today with another fan who owns a condo in Florida and is torn between whether he should be spending his retirement days down there with his family or staying here to watch the games...
I'm talking a family that has been season ticket holders for 30 years...
I will leave it to you as what he was thinking and planning - but it was probably reflective of what a lot of people are thinking right now....
I know there were many fans who did not like JL and were unhappy last year....but they still didn't bolt or move to their condos in Florida....
I think we are at a dangerous crossroads and another year like this one - will cause the numbers to drop to historic lows....unimaginable.....we need to start winning.....Comment
