  • BU 107 FAMU 75

Wish I was at the game, had to go home for Thanksgiving

BU leads FAMU 48-35 at the half.

We're 10-20 from three so far.

DA has 12 (4-7 on threes)
    JC has 11
    JJ with 10

I think it's safe to say the record for threes made in a game might be broken quite a few times this season...

Do you think we can keep it up?

    LET'S GO BRAVES!
People need to recognize there is a huge difference between playing hard, and playing well...

This looks like it has gotten pretty through in the 2nd half. DA is shooting lights out, every night so far its been someone else. 22 tournovers for FAMU, the shooting each night might not be there but the defense should be, this will be fun throughout the season.

DA had 24 points, all off of threes...

Great to see him having a breakout night.

And it's final, BU wins 105-75!

          we drained 20 threes.

          Shot 54% from the field

          15-17 (88%) on free throws.

Great effort by the guys, bring on Rutgers!

            That's all?

Only a 30 point win? I was hoping for at least 40

Interesting games loom in Hoffman Estates this weekend. Miami beat UIC by 11 in Oxford. Illinois pulverized Savannah State by 47 in Champaign. Who knows what Rutgers' frame of mind will be on Friday... demoralized or pissed? They lost on a buzzer beater at home to Jackson State 71-70 in a game the Tigers controlled a majority of the time. Right now, I forsee a BU vs. UI match on Saturday. Go Braves!

What a game! I have never had so much fun!

Bradley did lead by 39 at the largest point, after Danny hit his 8th three. But then Les pulled all the starters and emptied the bench. FAMU still had as many as 4 starters on the floor in the last minute, and had 3 starters as the game ended. I think their coach really wanted the final score to look better in the morning Tallahassee paper. they cut the lead from 39 down to the low 20's, but then the subs got it going and stretched it out to 32 again. What a fantastic team effort. The teamwork was a thing of beauty!!!!!!!!
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

It???‚¬?„?s raining 3???‚¬?„?s as Bradley wins 107- 75 with a new record of 20 trays. Gee, just too many superlatives for me to say much that won???‚¬?„?t be said. And wasn???‚¬?„?t it great to see Danny Adams have such a big game scoring 8 threes. And who does BU???‚¬?„?s opponent focus on? I???‚¬?„?ve seen every game and I have no idea.

The one thing about the defense that I really like and may not get mentioned is when we double down on the post and force the opposition to pass we somehow get to the passing lanes and force turnovers. You just don???‚¬?„?t see that happen much, but it is becoming a regular thing with us.

4 different leading scorers in 4 games. I expect to see other different guys lead in future games, too.

Nice to see Andrew Warren get 16 points. He keeps looking more like a veteran every game. Jeremy was a POW candidate for the last 2 weeks, and barely played the 2nd half because everyone else played so well.

                        Box score--

                        BU Braves report--

Adams tied the school's single-game record by making eight 3-pointers and he led six Braves in double-figures with a career-best 24 points.

Wow, 6 players in double figures. I remember some self-anointed gurus saying this team would have trouble scoring! As usual, they were wrong.

30 team assists- that's more than I remeber in a long time.
Will with 10 assists, JJ with 9. How many would Daniel Ruffin have had? Probably 20+.

FAMU shot 55% for the game and 57% from 3, and still lost by 32! The difference was 17 steals. Good job Braves!

Attendance was 8806- not bad for a holiday weekday game. There was a very good studant turnout, maybe 500 I'd estimate, even though a lot of them were already gone for their break.
I noticed BUBraves06 wasn't there and he doesn't miss many.
