I thought that too, but maybe the regular team issue shoe doesn't come in his size.

Saw some footage of this kid on the local news last night. He seemed pretty slow, but he certainly is big.

Here is some video of 7'5" Mamadou Ndiaye

This article reveals he has had a pituitary tumor removed that caused his excessive growth. That condition (acromegaly) usually affects muscles and bones in a negative way, and hurts the person's athletic abilities. So even though he is 7'5", he doesn't jump or run well at all. He loses the center tip-off to a kid more than 1 foot shorter, but he can dunk almost without jumping.

I am not sure the kid is a big school recruit, maybe more likely a midmajor recruit because of his athletic limitations. He reminds me of a Chicago kid who played at UNC-Asheville a few years ago- Kenny George

Kenny George......several years ago PCS played in the Lisle shootout and I was excited about seeing George play as they played the game before.....and get this...he forgets his shoes...and they couldn't find any big enough for him to borrow....so he didn't play. I sat with Molinari's brother since his son played on the the Latin school team and he said this is what happens with Kenny....he was never very excited to play..he sat at the end of the bench keeping stats BUT in the second row with his feet flat on the floor
