Illinois State basketball coach Tim Jankovich said Friday that junior guard Darious Clark has “taken a leave of absence” from the team.
“He’s dealing with some personal issues,” said Jankovich.
Darious Clark is a junior college transfer from Cecil College in Maryland. He has played less than any player on the ISU roster, just 4.9 minutes per game, and he has played in only 9 games. He has only scored 4 baskets all year, and 3 of them were against Chicago State when he played 11 minutes.
This will free up one of the scholarships Jankovich needs for the recruits he plans to add next year.
