LittleBrave you are using way to much logic in your post. This is a committee of mostly BCS members. Throw away what would be considered a logical approach to seeding.
The work that the BCS members do is BS. They're missing the "coherent" part.

Not that I've followed the seeding of mid-major programs very closely, but I would suspect that #4 seed is in reach for Wichita if they win Arch Madness over Creighton.
Teams like Michigan, Indiana, Louisville if they do not have a strong showing in their respective league tournaments will likely not be considered for the #4 seed.
There is sure to be a disappointment for one team ranked between 11 - 14 before season's end.
#16 Florida will get the nod over Wichita for sure, barring a collapse by Florida.
Winners of last season's NIT will bode well for the Shox too.
We'll see. So much can happen in the next couple weeks!
Anyways, what does it matter if you're the 4 seed or 5 seed??

So does Creighton jump ahead of Wichita as far as seeding in the NCAA tournament?
I'm thinking Creighton at #6 and Wichita St. #6 too.
I really can't find ratonale for one getting a better seed than the other.
Maybe the rankings will be the deciding factor?
Looks like the Big 10 could potentially have 5 teams seeded between 2 and 4.
Based on how Creighton played before the MVC tournament, I think Wichita State is a 6 seed and Creighton will be a 10-12 seed. jmho
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
theoretical question -- how important is Doug McDermott to their success...
in other words would they have been able to reach the MVC Tourney Final had #3 been out?
Or if he were out would they have dropped maybe as far as a 2-8 team or 9-9 team in the MVC?
Consider this - Creighton finished 14-4 and yet NINE of their wins were by single digit...
with FOUR of them being by 3 points or LESS (1pt wins over MSU, InSU, and Evansville, 3pt over UNI, and a 2pt squeaker in BB)
with so many really narrow, squeaker wins - had they not had McD - I think they lose anywhere from 4 to maybe 7-8 more than they did lose...
not to mention they definitely DO NOT get past Illinois State in the MVC Tourney Final!
Surely McD makes at least a 5-6 point or larger difference in every game he plays!
They better keep him healthy.
This is not the case with Wichita - they won no matter who was sitting out...

No way does Creighton get any lower than an 8 seed.
Maybe I was a bit liberal with giving them a 6 seed, so I'll say 7 seed for the Jays, and 6 seed for the Shockers...but with other conference tourneys this weekend, this may change.

A lot of things can happen this week... I have thought that Creighton has been overrated all year. They are a nice team.. Just not a top 20 team. It would not surprising to me if they were a one and done team in the NCAA. imho

While they are a good team, they do seem kinda soft in ways. If they match up with a very physical team they may not win a game in the tournament. Or they could get hot scoring and end up in the S16. Just hard to predict.
