For next year, maybe. But beyond that, NO! We WANT strong schedules so not only we have a chance to play for an at-large bid, but to help improve the Valley SOS as well. I would be greatly against this kind of scheduling as it even backfires against bubble BCS teams who schedule down as well, let alone mid-majors.

I hope peoriaspitfire is right in saying that Geno was being tongue in cheek when he said this. If Geno was being serious though, he's not going to be thrilled that Michigan is coming to Peoria next year!

I heard the interview, and I believe that Dave brought the topic up and Geno's tongue was pressed firmly in his cheek.
Get Well Massive Mike! "Once a Brave always a Brave!"

Yes, anyone who thought he was serious needs a sedative and a long nap.

Well, when someone posts that he said this in a serious manner, some people, including myself initially thought this was true. But this is how unsubstantiated rumors gain traction.

I'm glad Double D cleared this up before it got further out of hand.

So how do we know he was kidding? His scheduling track record would lean more too that he was not but, either way you look at it how is this post unsubstantiated? The statement came out of his mouth! He left if he was kidding up in the air. I never once said he was serious either, I just heard the comments and wanted to catch some feeling about the comments! Thanks for saving us from the madness Double D!LOL

Yeah, I guess we don't, but some here believe this was said with tongue firmly in cheek. That's fine, but I can see how it can be interpreted both ways despite Geno's use of humor.
