Maybe they can hide their failures in all the other sports they promised great improvements, but they won't be able to hide them in men's basketball. Kirk Wessler had it right (about the only thing he has been right about) in this column a the bottom of the page- http://www.pjstar.com/sports/wessler...e-for-BU-to-be I am tired of giving my hard earned money to support what is clearly going downhill, and there are many others like me. I guess the accountability will have to come at the level of the board of Trustees. We have wasted a great opportunity with the fantastic new facilities, and yet we see almost no improvement in any single sport in the past 4 years. Do you? maybe it will come, but maybe it's just wishful thinking.
I am not ready to proclaim that the program is completely going downhill, but you mention some things that I think need to be addressed in a semi-open manner. That is the vision, accountability, and the overall plan as to how to bring back especially the men's basketball program from its present state.

What do you suggest Biff -
with the opening of the new facilities a couple years ago BU was on the verge of a quantum leap that by now should be evident in some if not all of our athletic programs...
I realize there are still some programs who need better facilities but baseball plays at a park that is even the envy of professional (minor league) teams, Tennis has great new facilities, soccer likewise, and now men's & women's basketball....and the fitness center, weight training, Markin Center...etc....have been up and running ...going on 2 years for the Renaissance building and year four on Markin, 8-9 on Shea....
We now have nice looking facilities - but I know I am hopeful of a whole lot more than that -- like I said -we were on the verge -- we had two commits who were swayed by the new facilities, who might have been making a difference who ended up somewhere else..

I do agree though that it is mostly a message board issue and the vast majority of fans either are unaware or don't care.

Please add WeaverRidge GC and Metamora Fields GC as nice facilities both golf teams have to play and practice.

I agree because I hoped Les was going to be a big time winner and stay on forever, unfortunately it didn"t work out and you are correct in that Bradley fans just want to go and see the team win and at least compete for championships .

Mary Moan is women's coach (ex professional golfer and IVY league coach). Jeff Roche is still men's coach.

The women's coach does as she's told and falls in line. Those who voice an opposing opinion are told to move on.

SOmeone should do a count of how many threads have turned into a Les vs Ford battle LOL. I don't even bother reading most of the posts, I just come here mainly for outside BU news & recruiting info now due to all the bickering.

Les is gone, Sammy is gone & hurt as most predicted he would be at this point in the season, Remy is gone and not doin all that great at Indiana, Warren is gone and Egolf still would of been injured this season. I'm not sure we would of been all that better at this point in the season, maybe an extra 2 or 3 wins but nuthin big. Nothin can bring that back.

Les took over a crappy UC-Davis team and is a whopping 1-17. Geno took over a crappy Bradley team and is 6-15. Supposedly both coaches have a couple good recruits coming next season, lets hold off on the raging debate until next season and see who has the better team.

It's time to see what Geno can do for us. Things will definitely improve next season.

... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

According to 'positive' thinking, the Bears were going to continue to improve during the second half of the season (according to Lovie Smith).

Positive thinking does NOT get wins, but keep drinking that juice!

Well, on paper teams may believe they will improve the upcoming year. But that's why they play the games. Many times things don't work out as they should.

I think the new recruits will help Bradley, but replacing this year's one constant positive, TB will be easier said than done, at least in the short term.
