That's fine. I know many fans and donors who are not happy with where this program has been taken.
I suggest you talk to people who broadcast the games on TV or radio and ask them how their advertising is going and how their sponsors feel.

Since you mentioned it, I happen to know quite a bit about this subject. Bradley basketball wasn't making money on tv more than 5 years ago. Why do you think WEEK gave up the contract when they did? This would not be a new revelation.

Let's all be honest here. How many on this board think the Braves would have been as bad as they were last season if Sam and TB would have been playing? I really don't care anymore though. JL is gone, and I wish he wasn't, but Geno is here and I think we owe him all our support in his attempt to turn things around. Good luck Geno.

That is a completely different issue. Networks cannot afford to do local broadcasting that pre-empts network shows. That is where most of their money comes from.

I am referring to a comparison between what the broadcasters are seeing this year compared to the last few years. It is way down. I think it can still recover, but it could also go the other way. I can assure you they are very concerned.

So injuries can only be used as excuses during Les' tenure, but not in the first year of Ford's tenure. Makes sense that inconsistency is the only thing consistent coming from you.

Funny, somehow I knew there would be people who would turn this into an attack against me. I have been completely consistent. Jim lost 2 players who were picked as preseason All MVC. What All MVC players has Geno lost, and who says we can't make such excuses? Make all the excuses you want.

Yep, I say last season was indeed ROCK BOTTOM.

As soon as Geno recruits some guys who can put the ball in the hoop, the tide will begin to turn quicker. It's nearly impossible to win when you have no consistently good shooters. The one we had last year graduated, so it was pretty clear that those who were expecting anything better than 1-8 at this point were the ones who had the rose colored glasses on.

IMO, BU had to try. They had to show they wanted more. Otherwise, we were always going to be talking about next year and injuries and bad luck.

Leaving JL out of all this, I believe that Bradley had the right idea to allocate the type of money that they did towards a head coach, but they didn't land the type of coach they thought they would get.

I am happy to play your game- are you seriously going to say losing Will this year (he averaged 8 ppg and 4 rpg last year) can be compared with losing TB and Sam last year (combined 27 ppg, 10 rpg, and 4+ apg in 2009-2010)? That is funny.

Agreed. Excuses are part of being a fan. I will say that losing Egolf in his freshman year was used as an excuse. Losing him in his senior year should be a much bigger one. Hopefully in two years we are looking for excuses on why we lost to Duke in the Sweet 16. Excuses and Hope...I'm fine with that. Its a lot better than blaming and despair.

With no one who can shoot the ball, yes. Do you think Geno should have cleaned house even before year 1? Because nearly all of these guys that can't shoot straight were inherited by him...

Come on guys, please stop attacking Geno over his past record. He's our coach now. He didn't fire Jim, he was hired to replace him that's all. Let hope him and JL both turn their new programs around.

I do not see anyone "attacking" Geno. Stating his record is not "attacking" him. So far, the only attacks I have seen here are those directed at other posters who some don't agree with, and those will not be tolerated.
