ESPN's Seth Davis was just on and stated a few things about his Bracket predictions - and he still had 3 MVC teams in the NCAA Tourney...
I doubt we get more than 2
But then he also was kissing up to Indiana and had them as a #3 seed and it looks very possible that IU may not even be in the upper half of the Big Ten..

And Illinois as a 4 seed....and McDermott as a player who can carry his team.
Honestly Wichita and Creighton are good teams and deserve post season play..
but after seeing both UNI and Missouri State severely struggle to put up points against Bradley - it solidifes my opinion that no other team in the MVC deserves to go anywhere..
If either MSU or UNI is supposedly the 3rd best team in the Valley - and some argue it's Indiana State who now sit at 2-7 in the Valley after a nearly 30 point drubbing on national TV yesterday! - then it says a resounding "NO" to any argument that the Valley desereves three teams (or four as some had argued) in the NCAA..

The only reason Missouri State might stay on the NCAA Tournament at-large fence is their win at Creighton, which admittedly is a great win. No taking that one away from them. But they also had one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the Valley and failed in every attempt to pull a quality non-conference win out, despite many games being close. But close losses don't count in the eyes of the NCAA selection committee, so they have A LOT more work to do before even getting a sniff of an at-large bid.
UNI, forget it! Even if they run the table, they do not have the juicy wins that Creighton and Wichita St. have. They would have a top 30 RPI, but frankly I don't think they deserve a bid. Maybe the "eye test" actually does have a place here, because they certainly don't have the look of an NCAA Tournament team!
Drake may actually have the best chance at a third bid, IF they sweep their next three games, tonight at UNI, then home against CU and WSU. Beat all three, then they have two quality in-conference wins that even the selection committee can't deny!
Frankly, after the last four years, I'll be happy with two bids from this league, though somewhat disappointed that a third team has so far failed to step up and at least challange for the top spot.
