Well, last place Penn State pulls a "Bradley" and takes out first place Illinois 54-52! Once again, Illinois blows a golden opportunity after beating a top 10 team in Ohio State, and follows that up by laying an egg in Happy Valley. An embarrassing loss for them, needless to say!

Nothing against Sam but I can't believe they wanted him to take that last shot..

If Weber did, then why would he have called that timeout with just 4.5 seconds to go?

At least the Penn State fans/students didn't rush the floor.

I have no idea.....if we call timeout then I would have thought we could have got it to Paul,Bertrand or DJ to get a shot.....

and PSU has beat Illinois plenty of times in the past so it's no big deal to them to rush the floor

Illinois is so much better without Sam and his bad ankles. If he was 100% he could help but he obviously is never going to be 100%.

after watching the replay whoever was in for Leonard didn't help at all on the screen to give up a wide open floater in the lane

The "fire Bruce Weber" posts are plentiful on the Illini message board tonight! That and the "why did Sam get the last shot" posts as well. Good question considering he was less than 100% all night.

He shouldn't have ever been an option on that last play! Missed badly on every shot he took all night.

On a side note, the Illini bench has only scored 14 points in the last 3 games. 7, 0 and 7 tonight.
