If there's ever a game we might get an upset, it's tomorrow.
Thinking it will be a close game anyhow.
Well, it was a win-win situation for me. I'll take the Braves win!!!

The Creighton game was the best game of the year and the atmosphere was at times horrible and at time electrifying! Alot like our team this season, for the fans reading this before they head to Carver or Pre Game Spot give the kind of effort as a fan you want to see out of YOUR team. Its easy to cheer win your winning but its easy to shoot free throws when everyone is making them too! Lets Go Braves! What part of illegal don't you understand?

our guys did a great job preparing for and containing their top scorer Anthony James..
the guy shoots a ton - he has 130 more shots attempted than anyone else on the team and even tho he launched 19 shots - most were ill advised, off balance and one sailed out of bounds off the end of the court never even hitting the rim!
He ended with 11 pts - well below his team-leading season average...
Coach Willie Scott had said in his pregame chat that defensively stopping James was a priority, and they pulled it off....

You keep doing your job and being proud but as you leave the arena stop and thank the old timers for being there through thick and thin years since before many on this board were born.
What a effort all around! It feels great, The monkey is gone! Geno Stomping! DSE on fire! Walt not afraid to toss a half court oop! TB Trusting his teamates, JE being JE, this is Bradley basketball and the Braves are back!
The ones who hurt the atmosphere are not there through thick and thin, they are headed for the doors like its the titanic down 9 with 6 mins to go! I will remain me but thanks for the permission and I didnt say anything about not being grateful for everyone and everything that has done ANYTHING for this communtity or program! Because I am grateful but no matter what you have given doesnt give you the right to bail out on a struggling team, well I take that back everyone has the right to do whatever they want but if your gonna watch 2/3 of a game but leave when its at the point of lil chance because you dont think it can be done or you wanna beat the rush, just stay home! But to each one thier own If you want to not stand and clap during the fight song so be it, I'll do me you do you.

Sorry, but the ones you consider not as good a fan as you think you are have been there through the thick and thin years from the Braves heyday as #1 in the country to what is happening now. Many from the Armory to the Fieldhouse to Carver. They make it to practically every game and if they want to leave early, why I don't know and don't care, that's up to them. They have been paying their maintenance dues since Carver opened. Many so called fans give up on the team, look at the attendance rates, but the real fans keep coming, young and old. As for standing during the fight song, IMO, most of the crowd will stand but the goofy promotions and worthless announcements seem to come first. What part of illegal don't you understand?

The place to start obviously is city hall but they have the owner last registered to be Chase Ingersoll...who no longer lives in town and has moved and left no forwarding address...(he also has other legal issues as some will remember and has other creditors pursuing him)..
That of course bothers the local officials who have tried for years to reach the owner for numerous issues ranging from taxes to falling bricks and broken glass from windows falling out..
I actually did contact him when he lived in Texas but he returned my letter unopened and declined to even respond..
I would still love to get in there some time and do a little exploring and blog about my findings - but am waiting for anyone to make a suggestion where to go next..
BTW -- I called back to city hall and talked with one of the clerks but was told that the city simply does not have the funds nor resources to track down responsible landowners unless and until something lands the issue in court or involves serious public health or safety issues - and that's not yet the case - so the old Armory building sits as it does - locked up with rotting insides and leaks and nobody knowing what the future holds for it...
Anyone with a suggestion??

Ok.... Perhaps my question should have been is anyone NOT paying taxes on the building and is the building up for some type of foreclosure sale?
I would think that some money from a sale of a distressed asset would be better than no tax money. However condition, location, and renovation costs would have to be pretty prohibitive!Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
