  • Andrew Warren was a ton last year and surpassed my expectations for him.

That being said, Taylor Brown is a better all-around player. Add a year of experience to everyone else and Geno has more to work with THIS YEAR than the team had last year... yet look at the results...

Maybe this is what happens when half a dozen coaches so "no thanks" for some odd reason...

    • My point is that it is way too early to make judgement and to say he stinks and can not coach one needs to look at his track reord the last 4 years at Kent State~won loss, post season appearances, and Kent's current record (11-4) with his recruits the argument he can't coach can be shot down BIG time. last year one game away from Nit semi finals with 2 road games out of 3 just look at the 4 year tend of both programs and tell me who can't coach

      • So Kent is just as good with a different coach?
Maybe Rob Senderoff is the guy we should have gotten? He's their recruiting guy anyway, right?

Maybe Senderoff was one of the dozen or so guys that turned us down. Face it, we're stuck with the other one.

          • Interesting comments... Given what happened at home, I didn't expect much last night. What I would like to see is for our staff try new concepts to at least adapt. Yes we slowed down our offense from the beginning of the year, but why not design some plays to get a young player like SS in the flow of the game? SS has IMO shown improvement.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Geno never got to the NCAA because he never won the MAC Tournament. In fact, he only got to the title game once. We paid our way into a CBI appearance and got a few NIT bids. He did have gaudy season records, but over half the MAC had RPI??™s over 200 in the last two years. ( This year, it??™s a bit better.)

He inherited a highly successful program at KSU mostly from Jim Christian, but Stan Heath and Gary Waters also played a part. He didn??™t ruin us by any means, but hard to say he made us better.

Just my opinion, but Bradley paid a lot for an unproven coach.

Thank you for your insight!!! My sentiments exactly!

Question for you. At KSU, did Geno ever make adjustments on his offensive sets? Seems like a lot of attempts at a run and gun style here with a lot of forced shots in situations in which a pass to a teammate would be more appropriate.
