Anyone watching this team, and doesnt get that "we are really close feeling" is just blinded by emotion, its coming this team is tuff, we arnt even at the halfway point yet and teams already are saying "dont wanna see them in st louis" I dont think we will be playing in the play in game, I mean once JP comes around, stix at the 5 and JP and the 4 and TB as the 3 and DSE as the 2 and Walt at point is pretty sick, keep using crawford and woods, what happened to Milos? depth is not a problem here, repetiton and time. Go Braves! Shock the shock!

What? AT at the 4 and JP at the 5. Who will give JP a breather? Depth is not a problem? This team may have players but what it is lacking is depth at the 4/5 position, a certified D1 PG, and a 3 point threat. Hey I like the players and coach, but it is what it is. I personally would like to see JP at the 4 but who would play the 5?

You think JP is uncomfortable now. watch him go out and face the basket.

Far easier than playing with your back to the basket. You do not need to be a slasher at the 4 like TB. In reality TB should be playing the 3. A 4 should be shooting 10' shots, rebounding and cleaning up. Also JP played that way all through HS. He would also not be so worn out playing D against the other teams big.

So KW was negative, just not negative enough? Very disappointing game. Sad to see Walt regress after the game against Creighton. In a bad season the only good part is to watch players progress. Unfortunately even that has been iffy.

KW does have a negative tone but seems consistently to be laying all the blame on the players alone and not the other associated factors like playing out of position, trying to fit a new system, etc...

Remember - back last spring - this is what was said about what we'd see this season...
"He sees what he’s got and then tries to figure it out.
He’ll play according to who he has. He does a real
good job of utilizing his talent.

"If there’s one word to describe (my style-Geno Ford's), it would be my adaptability."

That same article also goes on to say...
"...Bradley is a special place in the college basketball landscape in terms of size and support of the community,
the facilities, the financial support. I would argue this is better than several BCS jobs.

We’ve got good players, great facilities and a good administration. Hopefully, we’re not that far away.”

BUT......now we are told by the same people.....
that the gap between Bradley and the upper level of the MVC is as wide as the Grand Canyon"

I don't think it is as wide as the Grand Canyon and I am hopeful we can prove that this week...

I would say we are not that far off of getting better. How much better? I can't say and I deffinately wouldn't put them at the top of the league but can they be competative-sure they can and have been proving that game in and game out. The big problem is they only get 2 or 3 guys to play good on game night or at a time. If ( I realize it might be a big if) this team has 5-7 players that show up on the same night and all play 40 minutes of team BB then they will win some games. We have 2 road losses that we out played the opponent for 35 minutes and if we can add that other 5 minutes we will be a good (not saying great) team and wins will come.

That's what I've noticed all season - you can't win a game with 2 or 3 solid performances alone. The first halves of games have been pretty good, but we kill ourselves in the 2nd half. Just a lot of guys who may be confident, but surely are not confident they can pull out a win with little winning experience in their college careers.

Right now it's the same repeat performance game after game. No growing going on whatsoever until Geno gives the new guys some playing time. Right now they can't even get a sniff of the court even when getting blown out. Could be his way of saying, hit the road kids, open up some more spots on the roster for me.

It's not easy to see the growth, but there is some happening. Not so much on the defensive end and rebounding.

I think Geno wants to put guys on the floor that will give him the best chance to win - it's not like we're getting blown out much. Geno is thinking about THIS team, and is coaching as if we're 0-0, trying to win.
Until we get to about 1-9 do I think we'll see more PT from the younger guys.

Truthfully, if 5 of our guys (TB, DSE, WL, JP, and one other) play solid on a given night, we can beat anyone outside of Wichita and Creighton. Right now, that's just hypothetical unfortunately.
We simply can't get it done with JP playing like he has of late.
