  • Bradley 74 Drake 82 - Final

My apologies to all. I deleted my original post (which apparently deleted the entire thread, SORRY!). I said a couple of things out of anger that I shouldn't have said.

It's frustrating the way this game turned out tonight, but I'm hoping things will turn around soon, and I am hoping Bradley fans like myself will stick it out and enjoy this team as they continue to grow.

Uh oh........some people don't like that sort of thing!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Nice game by TB toninght.....a career high 28 pts to go with 12 rbs!
If the Braves would value the ball more they might have won this game...way too-many careless turnovers! Also missed 11 FT's!

All I can say is that the weather has been unseasonably warm.

We wouldn't blame you for not watching the rest of the season Bravesfan, the games are predictable at this point. I would be shocked if they win a game the rest of the season. The best bet might be the bracket buster game as that should be a very weak opponent.

Hopefully our home fan base will be above 5,000 by the time or if Geno gets this program turned around in 2 or 3 seasons if not longer.

I honestly feel that the refs decided this game. I just finished watching it, and they wouldn't allow ANY contact at all. There is no way Bradley should have had as many fouls as they did. Drake cut a 10 point lead to a 5 point lead in about a minute with only free throws.

This may be a frustrating season, but this was by far the most frustrating game for me, because we SHOULD have won this game. We were the better team and TB was unstoppable. We lost because we rushed too much and turned the ball over, and also got screwed by the refs.

This isn't THAT bad of a team. We aren't, or at least shouldn't be with the talent we have, a last place team. Now we aren't a top half team, but I think we are better than Drake and SIU, we just couldn't find ways to win these games, and that is incredibly frustrating.

We will not win another game until we clean up some stuff. Too many times it seems we're caught out of position on defense, leading to easy shots for our opponents. I know that Geno likes to push the pace on offense and when it's clicking it's fun to watch. It's great to be aggressive because it puts opponents on their heels but we just can't be as careless with the ball as we've been. I can understand tournovers if they are caused by our opponents but most of ours are caused by not making smart decisions with the ball. If we can cut down on some of that as well as have a consistent game long effort on defense wins will come. These guys are trying their best. They don't give up. I'll be curious to see how they try to bounce back at Wichita on Friday, especially after the butt whoppin they gave us a few games ago.

I want KW to be as positive as possible. He's doing a better job of it this year. Good job KW.

here are a couple comments made by others...I won't bother to add much of my own because someone's gonna go ballistic if they interpret it as negative -

"Their record is 5-12, and they are 0-5 in the Missouri Valley for a reason.
                              They??™re bad."
                              - Kirk Wessler

and I find it odd how the single most overriding and undeniable observation everyone in the room had while watching this game deserved only a minor, passing comment from Kirk Wessler..
"Then, every time the Braves trimmed the margin ??” to six, to five, to four ??”
they??™d foul, or give up a 3-pointer, or shoot a hurried 3, or drive willy-nilly to
the basket and throw up an impossibly bad shot
                              ."

(and I might add - not only throw up an impossibly bad shot but draw a
charging foul in the process and foul out just when we need everyone on the
                              court)

"We tried to drive the ball off no passes; three different guys tried it tonight
and it didn??™t work for any of them....It??™s a recurring issue.."

(this is from one player commenting on the bad plays of others)

"..How many flavors do turnovers come in? ..Braves are exploring ways to find
every one of them ... and maybe invent a couple more."
                              - KW

"..too many mistakes in execution and judgment. Play well for a while, then
                              seem to lose their minds"
                              - KW

"very low hoops IQ...They're bad...untimely bad decisions.." - KW

"I've seen Chicago State play better even on a bad night.." - random tweet
