As this dude is a frequent subject on this board, I thought it was worth noting that he has 5 three pointers in the second half today against Penn State. I think Indiana is the real deal, as much as I hate to admit it.

that's actually only the 2nd conference road game won in Crean's era..and both are at PSU - the Big Ten team with the weakest home court advantage historically --
Plus they almost gave it away at the end as Penn State did a very good job managing the clock, pressing defense, and judicious use of fouls...making up a double digit deficit right at the end..

Indiana has to play defense, especially if they want to go anywhere in the tournament.

Coach Crean has turned the Indiana program around, I don't care how many Big10 road wins he has or against who. Sure they won't be his last. Hope Coach Ford can do as well turning the BU program around. What part of illegal don't you understand?

The IU situation is apples and oranges -- Crean is winning because his starting lineup has at least 3 kids who are 4&5-Star players and a couple future NBA-ers
BTW did you see again that Remy Abell played key minutes, made key plays, and I agree Roth is an exceptional shooter....he could be doing that every night if he were to play more...

Crean is a recruiting machine. The guy is amazing. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

has anyone figured out the weird headline to the column in today's local paper about the Indiana win at Penn State?
"A shot of orange in crimson"
My guess is that it hints at Matt Roth being an Illinois native on an Indiana team but the story never once mentions orange, Illinois, crimson or anything else to give anyone a clue as to what it means.

Matt did everything he could and Remy Abell played very well (18 minutes in crunch time) but Indiana's experienced starters faltered (Verdell Jones scoreless and Christian Watford 4 pts) and they lost on their home court to winless, last place Minnesota.
It was a good game to watch and Tom Crean & staff did an outstanding job with their end game management using offense-defense substitutions, fouling the right guy and forcing Minnesota to miss crucial FT's, playing confidently & hitting key 3-pointers and shots down low, using their timeouts, etc...
I thought the key to IU losing was that they reverted to their pattern from the past couple years fo just putting their heads down and driving for shots without looking to pass.
They had ONLY 6 assists as a team on 55 shot attempts...
