and the only disappointment is in the fact that I have very high expectations -- but I still am at every game and love this team...

Why do you continue to phrase it "1st year coach vs. 9th year coach?" It is very simple = Jim Les vs. Geno Ford (There = is everybody happy I used Geno??).

This comparision is not fair to classify 1 vs. 9. Geno has been in coaching all his life, with his fathers background.

And the "Cupboards bare" is complete BS. These are good players that was handed to GF. Cupboard was bare when Stan Albeck and Mo McCone left town. They have admitted they stopped recruiting the previous year because they thought they were going to San Antonio for the Spurs job and did not get the offer in the 11th hour. That is a bare cupboard. Not this year!!

2 things...

One, it is fair to say year 1 vs. 9. Geno is in his first year at Bradley. Jim was in his 9th year. Just because someone coached before it isn't like he brings all his players with him. I don't understand why that is not easy to see.

Secondly, where in my post did I say the "cupboard" was bare. I never said that.

Let me ask this...did you have high expectations last year? the year before? How did the team do as compared to your expectations?

I have been trying to concentrate on what I currently see and don't see happening on the floor and trying to stay out of the old coach vs new coach p***** match.

I come to every game in a great mood. It's a game, I sit around family & friends. The beer stand is right behind my section...so is the bathroom! Life is good!

To answer your question.......I am not always disappointed with a loss. I've watched, coached, and been around enough basketball to know you cannot win every game. That doesn't mean you want to lose, doesn't mean you are happy to lose. It means you are realistic.

At the end of the night, I go with Coach Dale: "If you put your effort and concentration into playing to your potential, to be the best that you can be, I don't care what the scoreboard says at the end of the game, in my book we're gonna be winners."

I agree. That's why I didn't complain about the coach last year, or this year. I see the effort.

This is not a balanced team and unless you have NBA talent those weaknesses will be exposed in this conference. I believe Geno has done the best he could under the circumstance and JL because he had the recruits (Abel and Harrison) plus SM, would have had a more balanced team. What's wrong with that folks? I'm pass the firing and have moved on. I would suggest everyone else do the same and because there's not much anyone of us on this board can control as much as you may wish. I'm 100% behind Geno and the team.

Yes.....where else are people going to discuss how "great" people over here thought Bradley would be if there was no coaching change. I guess all of those claims were deleted before I got a chance to see them.
