Bradley 83 Creighton 92 - Final

To echo what I just posted in another thread, a great effort by our team tonight, which makes the SIU game an even bigger disappointment. However, methinks this team has learned a few things between losing to a bad SIU team, and giving #24 Creighton all they could handle.

Also kudos to the crowd for really getting into the game and making Creighton earn their win. We need this energy from the crowd and effort from the team for EVERY game from here on out. We will win some games if we continue to play like this.

Nice game by the Braves tonight...around the 11 minute mark the Braves were down 20 pts.....nice comeback to make it a game and get the crowd going! If I heard the Coach Geno right on the way home...Walter only had 1 T/O for the game....we need to learn to play every team like its a big game and we will have a W' at the end of the night!

At least we didn't lose by 39 points at home tonight, despite McDermott's 44 points!

McDermott had a GREAT night, Coach Ford had nothing but great things to say about him in the post game. Happy this Braves team gave a good effort tonight and the crowd came to life a bit in the second half.

The team played well on offense, showed a lot less individual play and better passing. It showed with 16 assists, way more than we've had in any game lately, and very good shooting percentages. Unfortunately the effort on defense was not quite as strong. I acknowledge Creighton is good, but allowing a visiting team to shoot 61% overall, and 50% on threes, and to get get outrebounded 34-23 should never happen at home. Maybe it was because the team was probably expending more effort on offense, and didn't have the energy to match it on defense. Hopefully, they'll keep improving at Drake Tuesday.

I'm not big on moral victories, but BU played well against a far superior opponent. They didn't quit and played hard. JE played really well, and I'm not a JE fan.

JP... What happened to him? Sticks is a far better option on both sides of the ball.

dacoach ..those long rebounds of theirs hurt us too..twice late they missed and got a long rebound...and give me just one of those threes that rolled in and out....what a huge difference that would have made....like the assists as well

Nice game tonight. I very much liked to see us passing the ball around more on offense. Would love to see us run more screens for our players other than the screens at the top of the key.

If someone were to tell me before the game that McDermott would have 44 point tonight, I would have guessed that we would lose by at least 30 points.
Hope everyone looks at the positives from this game and can keep improving as a team for the rest of the year!

Gotta run, but best game all season. Woods needs more time. JP less. Effort was there. Off the ball movement still isn't good, but that and the always poor fundamentals in rebounding are the only negatives at all tonight.

McDermot was unbelievable really....I don't know the last time anybody has played like that in Peoria....So smooth around the bucket..right or left-handed and when they needed a shot he made the 3...IF he missed CU got the board...He was just fun to watch even if he was on the other team.

BU never quit and would have 3-4 more wins under their belt if they had played some other games like that.....TB played very aggressive...Jake played well most of the night...SS played we'll in the first half but didn't do much on the second....Where was Pross?....BU could have quit and most of us wouldn't have been surprised but they made a game of it.....the house comes down if DSE makes that 3..........
