As I explained to Chico...there are some that sit by me who are very vocal with their disdain for the new coaching staff, when things are going bad. (WSU) These fans also take every opportunity to rip, rather loudly, any mistake a player makes and questions why they are on the court.

Last night, theses fans that sit within ear shot and eye sight of me as I watch the game, where very loud when Creighton was building their huge lead. However, when we closed the gap and where hitting shots....nothing!
So, Yes I question why someone would pay for season tickets only to come and rip on the coaches and players.
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

--but this was by far the best & most vocal crowd of the year...and again -- Congrats to Dave Snell, Rob Dye, et al...
Oh, I know you do tornado, and most Bradley fans are very supportive through thick and thin. But I was referring to the small segment of fans who are just there but don't really stand up and cheer when the team is rallying. I know some can't stand up, and it's not a prerequisite that fans have to stand up to enjoy the game and express themselves anyway. And it's less about last night when the crowd, as you said was about as vocal as they have been all year. But they need to be as vocal when Bradley plays teams like SIU and SEMO as they are against ranked teams.

I think when Bradley falls behind SIU by 6 points late in the game, the crowd is more shocked that we may lose to a team like them, and is thinking we will lose instead of standing and cheering. I know it's hard to equate SIU or Northeastern to Creighton, but we need to create an atmosphere each game as if we are playing Creighton or Michigan every night, even if we are playing say Chicago St. That's how we can get our once rock solid home court advantage back. Experience and better players will go a long way too of course.

I completely agree and really loved seeing every one of the assistant coaches waving their arms for the crowd to stand up last night. Unfortunately the coaches need to continue doing this until it becomes a habit again for the crowd to stand up and get LOUD. Coach Graham seemed to get frustrated at one point after encouraging the fans, who followed his lead, but then sat right back down as soon as Creighton made a basket. He waved his arms again and seemed to be saying "What are you doing.....get back up"!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

The guy in the row behind me has been yelling awful things for years. The other night he actually yelled out, "Oh, Bradley you suck!

I mean, come on guys. If its that bad, why come?

well - that is unfortunate -- I have heard fans like that and I think they have a certain entitlement mentality - that somehow their ticket price gives them a guarantee they will be happy with Bradley's play or the outcome
so if they don't like what they see they feel they've been personally cheated --
I agree those are very selfish fans and I appreciate that they show up but they should think more of the team & kids and not so much of themselves.

but wait.....we've been told that the talent gap between us and the teams at the top of the Valley is as wide as the Grand Canyon!
According to the expert we don't have a chance of playing close to a team like Creighton and least of all when their star goes for forty..

I think our effort last night was exceptional. That being said, I'll admit to being one who believes the talent gap between Bradley and teams like Creighton and Wichita State is very wide. I never believed we were as bad as the 39 point loss to the Shockers made it seem, but if we played both of these teams 10 times each, I feel like we'd lose all 20 games.

Coach em up and get them to all play with maximum effort!

Agreed. They have to keep doing this. It was also good to see "get loud, stand up" signs being flashed on the scoreboard [i]during[i] the game and not during timeouts during promotions. As I have seen at other sporting venues, the arena tends to be loudest during the t-shirt throws between periods or during timeouts. What good does THAT do in trying to get a team play better?! It makes sense to get the crowd going while the game is on. What a novel concept!

I know, just using that to get my point across. Knew I should have put a smilie face on there.

It was still fun to see the Creighton fans squirm in their seats the last few minutes of the game though.

How about not deep enough of a squad to play 40 min of tough D. The way GF wants to play we need to go 9 deep.
