Props to the students

I wanted to say that the students and band did another good job Sunday. The atmosphere is so much better with the band and students cheering and making noise. I think the atmosphere will grow and eventually few will have to be asked to cheer or stand up. Or they won't even be noticed!

If we can just keep Herzog and the commercials quiet at the beginning of timeouts, the crowd would stayed involved. Stop the stupid promotions during the timeouts and, please band, play the fight song more often. The heck with Splish Splash.

I agree B12 the energy over all is way up at games this year. Some fine tuning like you say chico would be nice. I think this group of players is an easy bunch to cheer for, they really feed of the crowd and the students and band seem to set the tone. Keep it going, I will stand and yell too.

Second that. It looks like the best student section we've had in some years.

My seats are on the opposite side of the benches at center court, and I must agree that it's great to look down and to the left and see all the seats in that student/band end to be completely full. I took a friend of mine that went to Bradley and was away in South Korea teaching for the last 14 months, she was amazed at how many students were there.

I think the atmosphere has been great so far, my only complaint is the new stand until the first official timeout. Now I'm not against standing at all, I'll be out of my seat on big dunks, threes, or late situations all the time. What's the general feel here on that? I actually liked standing til the other team scored a lot, and think that could have been enhanced by more encouragement to make noise while BU played D. That was the problem, not enough noise, not that people were sitting down too fast. That's my $0.02

Hopefully there are plenty of students sticking around for this one. I will be making my regular season debut tonight as there is finally a game that doesnt conflict with Bradley Hockey's schedule.

Funch...I know what you mean about the standing thing. I don't mind standing at all but sometimes it seems silly to stand just to be standing. OTOH...it does set a tone for the rest of the game. Hopefully it gets people used to the idea that it's actually OK to stand and cheer for the Braves!

The atmosphere was awesome, although, I'd much rather hear the band play the fight song and B-R-A-D-L-E-Y rather than a recording!
