I think in 3 years we had better be competitive and that implies being at least a 500 team.

I??™m both a cubs and rams fan, so I fully understand losing and as much as I do hate losing, you start to get to used to it and you watch games in whole different ???defeatist??? way. I never had this losing feeling with my Bradley team until this year and I hate it. I??™m not much of drinker, but I??™m already looking for a pregame meal where alcohol is served, so I can get a few in and try and stomach the Creighton game this Saturday night. I know others here complain about talent, but I see enough here for us to be a little better than our record and attention to detail has shown to date.

I think we should be top 5 by year three, top 3 by 4. We need an NCAA bid or 2 NIT bids by the end of year 5.

I'll go with this as well! I think this is fair....especially if Geno cleans house and half the roster is comprised of his recruits in year 2. I'm not saying our current players aren't D-1 players, but the sooner he's able to recruit to his style of play....the sooner the expectations should go up.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I think this is very fair, and I'm trying to give Geno a fair shake. I had high hopes for Geno when he was hired and was pretty excited. To be honest, I am already doubting him. I know I'm overreacting, and I have to give him time. I'm just finding myself dragging myself to games rather than being excited and often I don't offer up my other ticket to friends and co-workers to come watch the games because I am embarrassed by the lack of game plan and quality of basketball. The people I have brought have many times made comments about how they didn't know just how bad BU was or that they didn't see any sort of offense whatsoever. I just keep looking for something to grasp on to, something to get excited about, and all I can think is that it's going to be even worse next year without TB...

AP , I agree he will not be a lifer here. I don't think he will be gone after one good year though. The sooner we lose him the better. That will mean he got us to places we haven't been in our league for a long time. I hope we don't have to let him go because that would mean he didn't get it done. I voted it will take 4 years to happen. We won't get there until Geno can get his own players in here and I think that will happen.

Perhaps 'T' or DC can get you some face time with GF and you can chat about your perception of BU not having any sort of offense whatsoever this year.

At least they are not doing the weave, perimeter pass around, or the high center screen pick and roll. Most of BU's offense the past couple of seasons was guards putting their heads down and driving to the hoop or chuck a three from the perimeter.

I can remember many games in "JL Year 1" where I thought they had no offense, defense, or much in between..that team started 4-7 and 0-3 in the MVC as well.

I guess GF has to decide whether to change his schemes totally to match the talent BU has today, or, work on his schemes with the players who will be here for the next 2-3 years and get more kids who can execute his offense, what ever it may be.

Everyone has their opinion, but from my POV, the only player on this BU team that could possibly start for any other Valley team would be TB... This can be a drag on a successful season, or, execution of offense.

GF has coached before, and, had some success, so I wouldn't be so down and out. It's not like he just came off the street to coach his first game ever, at a Div 1 Men's BB Team no less....

He has also surrounded himself with some pretty good assistants, which other than Buesch Sr, I thought was a major weakness of the previous regeime.

Take a deep breath and come in off the ledge... It's always darkest before the dawn.

You can always go to just watch the BU Cheerleaders, that is worth the price of admission all by itself... During some of the past 9 years that was the highlight of many a home game.

That would be a great problem to have.

That "problem" has NOT happened in the 36 years that I have lived here.
All 5 coaches were asked to leave.
Hopefully we have a coach that will actually be good enough to be "movin on up."
If Geno is successful, The whole BU basketball program is better for it!
                  Including the fans.

Attendance is not an issue to me. The less people there, the better my parking space. Stay home everybody.

Reminds me of a great joke I heard at a comedy club years ago..

                          BU Coach capability

I wish Ford well! He is being paid enough, but do wonder about his capability as a coach considering the school he coached before BU and group it played in!

I am doubting we have that long of a losing streak...this team has the talent to win a few games...they just need to pull it together...
