On the heels of Bradley's at-large selection to the 2006 NCAA Tournament, Bradley men's basketball coach Jim Les will make several appearances on the radio and television air waves this evening.
That would be fantastic if they could. I would love to come out there. I was fortunate enough to come out there a few years ago when Bradley played in the Dec., 1995 Cable Car Classic. It was played in San Jose, and Bradley won a big game over Georgia Tech and Stephon Marbury. Deon Jackson scored 23 and Anthony Parker had 30. Ben Coupet had, I think, his career high of 10 points. Unfortunately, Bradley lost 75-72 the next night to Penn State. But we had a great time!
Jim Les just commented about the scheduling as the show ended. He talked for the first time about the problems they have with getting good teams to play them. He mentioned that Bradley had a couple home and home arrangements with exceptional teams, but that they backed out at the last minute. Perhaps they checked into who Bradley had returning and how good they might be, but I remember the discussion here about this issue. We were expecting at least 1 more great game last November, but had to settle for Southern Miss. That game almost killed our chances of getting an at-large bid.
It seems the coaches at the BCS schools still aren't returning Bradley's calls about scheduling games.
I really liked how JL showed the 'PEARLY WHITES' after he ZINGED digger!
Man he comes across good on TV.........I also liked the head coach of Seton Hall who said he grew up watching Cinn. in the Valley and was a Big Valley fan!

I'd love to have the time to see if I can dig up the evidence of one of Digger's teams when he coached having a 10 minute dry spell.
He seems so hung up on that one ten minute stretch when BU was playing SIU for the 3rd time in the title game and fatigue & tough defense were factors.
I'll bet Digger's teams have had similar spells.
I know some of the teams I saw last week did....Louisville, Indiana, and others.
I thought the coach did a great job all around. Way to go coach.
Can you summarize it?
He's getting great exposure for BU!
Wish I had a better memory... but he talked a lot about the tough draw and how Kansas is a good team, but that they'll have to play well to beat Bradley.
He also spoke very fluently about how hard it is to get the high majors to schedule a tough mid-major, and so Bradley and the rest of the league made the decision to schedule the top teams from the other strong mid-major conferences.
