One of the mods on the Illinios Scout board is stating that Crandall Head may have left the team. He's looked sort of lost in the games he's played so far this year. If true, I'm wondering where he'll end up. At this point, he'd have to sit out all of next year before he could play again.

If indeed he has decided to leave Illinois, he would still have time to enroll at any school that hasn't started 2nd semester yet, and that includes most schools. If he were to transfer before start of classes for 2nd semester, he would be eligible at the end of 1st semester in Dec. 2012.

Besides, we do not have an open scholarship right now, which would be a necessity.
And neither Bradley nor Geno to my knowledge has had any connections to his AAU program, the Mac Irvin Fire. Most clean programs haven't.
It is much more likely he ends up at one of the Transfer U's in the league- ISU or SIU.

I kid... I kid...
To go along with what PeoriaLou said, UNLV is what I am reading on twitter...

A freshmen transferring at this point has some value. A sophomore doesn't have much unless there are extenuating circumstances.1996 & 2019

this would be like the Danny Granger situation - he could be eligible at this time next year - BUT...
he played in 19 games last year (freshman 2010-2011) - and this is his sophomore year (2011-2012)
...so he'd have the half year next year (2012-2013) as his junior season then 2013-1014 as his senior year.
but I am intrigued by his explanation (alibi) that he has suddenly discovered that Illinois does not play his style of offense!!
"Head, who said he is considering transferring to UNLV, ... I've come to the decision that I need to make a fresh start
Head said Illinois' offense didn't fit his skills.
"I want to go somewhere they play my style of game and get a fresh start," Head said.
"I don't feel like their offense fits me. It's a shooting offense. I'm not a shooter.
I've worked on my shooting. I like to drive and play up-tempo."
so - let me get this straight -- he's been watching Illini basketball for more than a decade - and HIS OWN BROTHER went there for four full years..
and made a killing shooting the ball and even made it to the NBA as a shooting guard with his outside shooting..
and just now, Crandall suddenly discovers that Illinois' offense does not suit his skill set and he needs to got to UNLV??
