  • Next game- Florida A&M at Bradley, Tues. 7:05 PM

I was just doing a lilttle research on this team since I didnt really know much about this team and how good they were and this is what I came up with.

The team is now 1-3 after tonight after they lost to the Illini 84-63. That game wasnt really a blow out however as Florida A&M was up for most of the fist half and the illini didnt start pickin it up till mid-way of the second half.

    There other scores are
    @ Maryland 93-54 Loss
home vs Warner Southern 88-61 Win
@ Miaimi (OH) 52-33 loss (only scoring 33 points!!)
and then tonight @Illinois 84-63 Loss

this team isnt good at all so it looks like they might as well not play ruffin again even if he is ok to go.

It looks like their starters are about the same size as us too which will hopefully help us in the reboudning advantage as their starters heights are
6'8 Rome Sanders 14 pts 8 boards per game
6'5 Brian Green 10 pts 9 boards per game
6'4 Lamar Twitty 7 pts 4 boards per game
    6'5 Darius Glover 6 pts 4 boards
    6'0 Leslie Robinson 6 pts 2 boards

NO ONE ON THEIR TEAM AVERAGES MORE THAN 2 ASSISTS A GAME!!

thats all i got for this team

    prediction 86-64 Braves

The next game is at Carver Arena on Tuesday, 7:05 PM against Florida A&M. It is the 2nd game of the Chicago Invitational Tournament.

    Bradley Notes and stats--

Florida A&M is 1-3. Their only win was at home against Warner Southern College (a Div II NAIA school) 88-61.
Their 3 losses have been at Maryland 93-54, at Miami (OH) as part of the tournament 54-33, and Sunday at Illinois 84-63 (even though Illinois is also in the tournament, this was a regularly scheduled game and not part of the tournament).

    Preseason basketball prospectus--
CBS Sports features live scoring, news, stats, and player info for NFL football, MLB baseball, NBA basketball, NHL hockey, college basketball and football.

FAMU is coached by Mike Gillespie.

    Players to watch for--
6'8" senior center Rome Sanders is from Chicago Curie High School. He transferred to FAMU from Northern Illinois. He is their leading scorer. He scored 22 points against Illinois, and is averaging 16 ppg through 4 games.

The only other player averaging in double figures is Brian Greene, a 6'5" senior junior colege transfer who averages 10.3 ppg. He did not play in the game against Illinois.

FAMU has 4 other Chicago area kids on their roster. They have a lot of quick guards, similar to UIC. Another Chicago kid, sophomore Joe Ballard, leads the team in assists at 3.0 apg.

There's really not enough time for a pickem, so I will pass on this game, and get a pickem up for Friday's game!

After shooting something like 0-15 from three point range in their previous game, FAMU was 7-11 from three in the first half against U of I. They seemed to just be on fire, then the Illini defense started suffocating them about halfway through the second half and at one point scored on 20 straight possessions.

I think Bradley's defense will keep these guys from getting hot as BU probably won't take FAMU for granted like Illini might have, and Illini defense really shut down FAMU after they turned it on. Should be another big win for BU, I think if Illini defense can shut down FAMU, BU should be able to as well.

Wow! Up by 20 in the first half! I'd like to see a good old fashioned woopin'! How 'bout a 40-50 point win?
