The MVC has a tough task tonight against in their 4 games, all against BCS teams from the Big Ten, Big 12, and Big East.
The combined records of the 4 MVC opponents tonight is 34-6-
This is going to be an interesting night. Creighton I think has the most winnable game, against Northwestern. But that will probably be a tight game as well.
Kansas State annihilated SIU -- going so deep into their bench that they used players whose names haven't appeared in a single box score yet this season!
Bocot made his return after suspension - went 4-12 - 10 pts
SIU's five starters shot 5-14, 18 pts..add in the first 3 subs off the bench and the top eight players combined for 7-32, 25 pts...
Missouri State took West Virginia to OT - but one stat is impressive...
MSU had only 2 offensive rebounds to WVU's 16, and MSU was outrebounded overall 37-25. Bizouokas again with 10 assists -- geez am I jealous - that's exactly what we could use.
Creighton tops Northwestern - 87-79 both teams played well and shot 50%..
A few other games that seem interesting .. -Coach Mo's WIU Leathernecks win again 68-46 over North Dakota -Tyler Les had another team leading performance- 12 pts -he's avg 14 ppg since mid-November and 10.5 ppg on the season
-Kentucky plays their starters essentially the whole way just to whallop Loyola-Maryland by 24 -Darian Norris had 17 in San Diego's loss -Matt Roth finally got to play in IU's 42 pt blowout- nailed 4 3's all in the 2nd half against the UM-Baltimore Cty guys -Remy Abell played 13 minutes, had 8 pts, 2 asst -Verdell Jones left in the 1st half with a hip injury - Big Ten games start next Wednesday & IU faces Michigan State, Ohio State, and Michigan right off the bat -Pac-12 goes 5-3 last night but the five wins were over Stephen F. Austin, Bryant, Pepperdine, CSU-Northridge, & Texas Southern - not a lot of help for their sinking conference RPI.
