POINT...... postive thought only goes so far. Better athletes on the other team WILL win on the road and last night shows sometimes a worse team can win on the road.
FACTS: The Valley is good this year and we are not. Positive thinking will not get us any more wins!! Anybody want to question my prediction of a 1-9 over the next 10 games? Over/under remains at 2 wins!
The biggest issue though is how well we do against much stronger competition within the Valley (forget Michigan as whatever happens there, happens). I'm more worried about how we hold our own against Wichita St and UNI at home. If we lose to both of those teams by 20 or more in Peoria, we can "improve" all we want this year, but we will have a LONG way to go to try to obtain the level of play that these teams do. If on the other hand we stay close against them at home, and maybe even surprise one of them, then I will be more optimistic that we can be competitive come March.
I do agree though AP that 1-9 or 2-8 is entirely possible given this brutal stretch of games we have coming up. Win 3 or 4 of those 10 and I might be a little bit more optimistic that we can do well in St. Louis.

Those are not a "make up" call situation and it just upsets the refs more. But bad calls.... let em know it was a bad call you will get some make up calls. For sure with those refs last night. The refs were not working as a team.
Air Petey, its obvious you've never officiated. We've argued this many times and I'm not going to change yours or anyones mind but "make-up calls " are just a figment of the fans imagination. Officials who are good don't get to that level by making make-up calls. Anytime a call is thought to be bad ( and there are some during every game) and the next call goes for the offended team everyone thinks that's a make-up call. That's just plain BS. Appearance is all in the eye of the beholder. It's a no win situation that officials will lose forever.

I think there is a certain White Sox play-by-play announcer who shall remain nameless that rags on the umpires at least five times a game!

Maybe because I was high on life at the time, but I thoroughly enjoyed the game. I thought DSE, Walt, Jake, and Charron's defensive effort was sensational.
The future is bright, and last night for me was a the beginning of someone new to share this passion with.

"Make up" calls ARE part of the game. Trust me, officials have a running count in their head. They are human.
You are wrong.... PERIOD
EDIT: I'll tell you where a "Make up" call occurs. It will never be the official that made the call. It will be one of his partners that saw the call go the other way. It's not Business, It's Personal

I guess if I have a choice I would rather have a coach who deals with officials in a mild manner than argue to their face coming down the floor...
I have no idea what Geno said to officials during the game because he talked to them subtly.....where I sit I could hear quite a bit what JL said...and it wasn't sutble at all........maybe what Geno said had the same impact or better on the officials....I thought it hurt Jim some but that's just my opinion.
That's an experienced crew we had last night......I don't think they are going to be swayed anyway...

I was just happy that they weren't calling ticky-tack fouls. The game moved right along until the last few minutes.1996 & 2019

Please don't take this wrong but your comment about a running count in their head is just plain erronous. If your still officiating I would recomend paying more attention to what's going on between the lines instead of counting your make-up calls. It's not Business, It's Personal
