67 BU - 68 WCU Final

The game is 31-31 at halftime, but like most of our games, Bradley is allowing way too many easy layups and committing lots of unforced turnovers.
WCUs final possession ended with a long 3 pointer to tie the game, but Bradley had only 4 team fouls. Why not use a couple fouls and prevent them from getting an open shot off?

Braves lose by 1. Worst loss of the season. Wofford is better than WCU, although WCU is in the weaker half of the SoCon.

It looked like we were taught to wait for a layup (for a foul) instead of quickly dunking.

Tough loss but my observations are that WL needs to get better quickly playing the point or our season will be very very long. I like WL but we have to have a better option at point. How many TOs? It also looks like TB has lost some of his explosiveness. I guess sitting out a year will do that. He needs to find a way to get into the flow of the game. He should try cleaning up the boards like he use to his first year.

We need to find a way to make some FTs...13-23 is pretty bad!
Also value the ball a little more....most of the Turnovers were unforced....just poor decisions!

Guys - the WCU games each of the last 3 years have made me more upset than any other non-conf. game in that span.
3 straight seasons!!!
Ridiculous.
Sounded like a game that was not very well played by the Braves.
Again, we have 2 guys that have solid games, but everyone else plays ho-hum.

Was the lost lead near the end due to missed FT's? turnovers? Combination of the 2?

Let's not play Western Carolina for at least a decade!

missed ft's hurt at the end and bad shot selection....we fouled on a 3 and that didn't help either......disappointing loss to say the least

well we outshot,out rebounded,had less turnovers, and lost....ft's and 3 pt shooting cost us although we only took 7 all game.....

This was a bad loss. It won't hurt our at-large chances, since that is out of the question, but there is no way we should have lost. Somehow the team/coaches need to figure a way to defend those late possessions by WCU. Bradley had a 6 point lead with 3 minutes left, and then I believe they allowed WCU to score on every possession the rest of the game except for the foul that lead to the missed FT.

As I have said already, we have the best shot blocker in the Valley. Why not put him in the middle to prevent those easy inside drives that killed us in the end?
And the zone we played really turned the game around in the second half and frustrated WCU, yet we abandoned it and went back to man-to-man the last 3 minutes which, IMO, allowed WCU to come back and win.

We shoot 51%, were even on Assist:Turnovers, outrebounded them, played at home, and STILL managed to blow it.
Wanted this win more than the others.
At least we have a game in less than 48 hours to erase this loss.
Of course, the next one might be painful to watch.
