I had such a great comeback to.....

Got too nasty, and off topic. I'm not sure what it had to do with basketball, but go ahead if you're serious about your comeback. I'd like to see everyone agree to allow each to have their own opinions and not attacking others' opinions.

I did notice one thing this morning that I haven't seen in at least 20 years...
we played a bad game & lost at home and yet NO hit piece the following morning - nothing really negative at all!
I'm OK with this different direction we see but it stands in stark difference to what we have been used to for years.
I guess I should just leave a blank post since if you can't say something good...

I don't know that we played a really bad game...we won most of the statistical categories...but from 3 minutes on it wasn't good.....I'm pretty sure if we have a game like this in year 3 it won't be all rosy

I hear what your saying but I really don't think we played that bad. I see improvement. As lefty said last 3 minutes pretty bad and Ft shooting unexcuseable. Not sure how good WC was but I do know it gets alot tougher from here to St.L. Better days are ahead.

Im going to be honest here and say it was one of the more awful games ive witnessed since Stan left.

Horrible defense, couldnt grab a rebound etc.

That said I believe in Geno.

I think, however, that Geno, needs to have equal or more talent than his opponents to do what he wants to do.

Mo, generally, could still win a good share of games if his talent was close to his opponents...
To be fair he also lost a lot of road games at the end when his talent was better.

We've played some bad games, but last night - so many of our errors were UNFORCED...

so many of those bad passes right into traffic were unforced...as was the travelling call on Milos when he shuffles his feet when he's not even being guarded closely, and a couple guys simply step out of bounds or dribble off someone's knee...
We can't play like a bunch of freshmen every night

No intent to criticize your opinion, but the game was a statistical dead heat. I can think of many worse games over the past 25 years.

Perhaps a little early, but I agree with you here.
                    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

So far I see great effort but we need to cut down on unforced tournovers and not just depend on our dribble drive offense. We need to run more set plays for Taylor and for Pross but if they are doubled they need to recognize that and get it back outside. And please can someone tell our guys there's a reason why they are called FREE throws. Very critical stretch coming up, at Michigan, home to the Shockers and on the road at ISU Blue. Will certainly give us an idea of where we're at as a team.

                        Critical?

I think we'll lose all three, and the first two likely by 20+. All I expect to learn in the next three games is that we're probably 3 years away from being competitive in a similar scheduling situation.
