  • Next game- Western Carolina at Bradley Tuesday, 12/20 7:00 PM

Bradley's next game is at home Tuesday night (12/20) at 7:00 PM against Western Carolina University.

There is no broadcast TV for this game, but it is available on BU.tv-

Western Carolina is 5-6, and has not played since December 10 when they lost at home to Kent State University. Their previous game was a 5 point loss at Purdue. This is the 3rd game of a 3-game contract between Bradley and Western Carolina. In the first game, WCU beat Bradley 75-67 in Peoria on 12/7/09. In the second game, WCU beat Bradley 66-65 in Cullowhee, NC on 11/30/10.

Here is their schedule/Results and stats-

WCU gets the bulk of their scoring from these 4 guards who are their top 4 scorers-
Redshirt senior Harouna Mutombo is a 6'4" guard who has been a regular starter all 4 years he has played. He averages a team-leading 15.6 ppg and 5.7 rpg.
Redshirt sophomore Trey Sumler is a 6'2" point guard averaging 11.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 3.8 apg.
Sophomore Brandon Boggs is a 6'5" guard who averages 11.1 ppg, and 4.5 rpg.
Senior Keaton Cole is a 5'10" guard averaging 10.1 ppg.

All 4 of those guards are good three point shooters.

Their top 3 rebounders are Mutombo, Sumler, and Boggs, all guards.

Biggest game in the tenure of Ge....nah, never mind!

But I would consider it a big game, especially to give this team confidence to know it can win regularly at home.
And we need another win before the Valley season kicks off just to feel good about themselves heading into it.

Let's take back a win from WC. I think we're all sick of losing to them the way we did the last 2 seasons.

This is a big game in that I am hoping we come home and play as well as we did in are last 2 games on the road, watching those 2 games we appear to be a lot tougher both mentally and physically which is a good sign, now we just need to keep up the intensity and get another win.

This game is BIG.... because after this game, I predict the Braves will go 1-9 going into the Jan. 24th game @ SIU (With the 1 win vs. SIU in Peoria). I hope everybody plans on this being a very LONG Valley season. 4th place in the Valley would be awesome over the next 3 or 4 years!

Don't be too quick to deride this opinion. Here is our schedule. I hope we win more than 1 of the next 10 after the WCU game, but other than the home game against SIU, which other games do you see as winnable before February?

                  OK, I'll bite...

Other than the two games against SIU, I think these games are winnable:

                  Jan 10 @ Drake
                  Jan 18 @ Evansville
                  Jan 21 vs Missouri State

But I don't want to be too quick to be supportive of Geno and the team...geesh.

Heck, I think we can win them all! But none of them will be easy.

While this team is erratic from game to game, it wouldn't surprise me if we pull out a few wins in the next 10 games that people think we should lose. After all, we nearly pulled out 2 straight tough non-conference road games for the 1st time since the Hersey era.

I think they are getting better, outside shooting getting better and inside play is starting to come around. Just need to keep working on them dang Free Throws.

I'm predicting Drake and Evansville are losses because road games even though both teams are not very good.

Missouri State is home and fighting for that 4-5 seed... so they must be good in the Valley

I want a public apology the evening of Jan. 21st!! If they win over two in that time period.... You will have mine. 2 is the over/under and I'm taking the UNDER.

I don't want to look that far ahead.
We need to take 1 game at a time.
Looks like a mighty tough road in the Valley to start, but everyone starts at 0-0.
