  • WIU's RPI is 74!

Jim Molinari has his WIU Leathernecks at the TOP RPI spot in the entire Summit League..
    way to go Coach MO!!

BTW -- the Summit ranks 12th in RPI - not only considerably better than past years,
but currently better than the Horizon, MAC, Sun Belt, Metro, Ivy, WAC, OVC, Colonial, & Big West

RPI is irrelevant in that minor league. The only ticket to the dance is by winning the tournament. It will be that way for a long time.

I think it's great that WIU is doing well. I always liked Coach Mo and will always be a fan of his. I'm just saying RPI is irrelevant in that league as the only shot at the NCAA Tourney is via the automatic berth.... Regardless if RPI is 74 or 374.

It's really really early... Let's check their RPI in February and March.
          Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

            WIU's SoS is 25.

That thing is going to sink like a rock that has the weight of 10 rocks.

As for the Summit, the top half of that league has at least built up reasonable records and they should hang on somewhere in the top 20.

WIU's RPI and SOS are both going to take a pretty big hit.

They just lost @ UIC (RPI 309) by a score of 57-56. UIC went on a 10-1 run in the last 2 minutes.

This was a heartbreaking loss that shouldn't have happened - as WIU committed just two turnovers but --
one was costly - giving up the ball with 10 seconds left when WIU was leading by 1.

...not to mention WIU shot only 11-23 on FT's....
