Grassman and Old Coach are simply pointing out what they perceive to be hypocrisy and contradictions. The M.O. seems to be to parse words, get defensive, accusatory, and attempt to turn the tables rather than refute. To me, that is a tacit admission of agreement and guilt..... And that's bringin' it to ya! No goin' behind the back by Braves4Life.

Sorry, that is not anything close to what Grassman is saying. He is saying that since we were picked last in the Valley, we should shut up and accept everything we see and that anyone with an opinion that isn't a glowing platitude must have a vendetta. That is ridiculous, especially coming from someone who has done more criticizing and ripping of players and coaches over the past few years as anyone. That is the true hypocrisy.

So are you saying that there are coaches who believe they can win by having their players go 1 on 5? Please give an example of a college coach that plays that way and has been successful.
However, it's pretty evident that Bradley's best scoring opportunities tend to come when 4 guys clear out and Walt, DSE, or TB are able to take the ball off the dribble and score. Walt is especially proficient at finishing at the rim.

I am really taken aback by this anti-Walt talk. Surprising really.
This idea that he just drives down the lane for wild and crazy 1-on-5 plays is ridiculous. The guy is shooting 57% from the floor. BY FAR the best on the team among the team leaders.
Taylor has taken the most shots, and is shooting 43%. DSE in next with 96 shots and 40%. Walt has taken 79 shots and made 57%. Really a remarkable percentage for a guard. It is much better than Jordan Prosser who, as a center, shoots 44%. So we really want to "work it inside" for a guy who shoots 44% as opposed to a guard who shoots 57%? Makes no sense to me.
Walt also isn't even leading the team in turnovers. DSE is with 32. Walt has 28 and Taylor has 27. Prosser, who hardly ever actually handles the ball has 25. Considering how often Walt has the ball in his hands I would say he is doing better than BU's other four starters in regards to turning the ball over.
This idea that Walt is a wild and crazy, throw up wild shot, turnover machine is not based at all in reality. I know people hate looking at facts and stats but, just look at them.
What is the reason everyone is so down on Walt? Please help me out. Again, this team has many issues but Walt isnt one of them. He has, IMO, been one of the bright spots in the early going.

I like watching that style of offense as much as anyone else, but we'd better develop other modes of scoring and get our big men more involved, because we'll have a lot harder time scoring like that in the MVC games.

Its funny...you used to always chide every single one who said anything somewhat negative as having a "anti BU" or "anti JL" vendetta. Now that some are calling you out on your negativity (negative type posts you never made the last five years) you are getting upset...what gives?
For the record...I think everyone on here is pro BU and are Bradley fans and want to see the team do well. We don't all agree but I think we all want the same thing.

This quote says it all buschsquirrel! I think it sums up exactly what so many have tried to express. You've done it marvelously with one simple phrase. Kudos, my friend!

Why all of a sudden are you against anyone who voices any opinion about this team that doesn't mesh with yours?

Da Coach...do you not understand how college basketball works? I didn't have any issue with growing pains, .500 records and struggling in the early years of Jim Les. It was in years 7, 8 and 9 when the results were getting worse, not better, where the frustration came.
Are you really comparing the results and expectations of a coach in year one following a firing to a coach in year 8 and 9 of his own regime?
So NOW you want there to be open discussion, dissenting opinions and open communication? You didn't used to want that.
FYI...Im with you. I like that there are differing opinions. I am not saying you shouldn't have your opinion...you should...but is it not OK for others to disagree or we not allowed to question anything you say?
