A couple of those names have ties to Illinois or the Valley...
Bruce Barron is form Carbondale, went to Brehm Prep, and is brother of Justin Dentmon - he is a very good guard that can play at ahigh level
Coutney Stanley from Loyola is an interesting case...he's a three-year, senior starter/PG and tore his ACL in the preseason (Sept. 2011) - then he chose to get surgery and redshirt this season so he could come back and play his final (senior) season next year - but in a surprise move a week ago - Loyola head coach Porter Moser simply cut Stanley from the team with no real explanation!
Stanley would be able to transfer and play elsewhere without sitting out as he'd be a grad student..
Osamueda Egharevba is a 6-6 forward from Wichita State who can play guard - and was a fairly highly regarded prep schooler..but he was apparently asked to redshirt and didn't want to so he left..
St. John's Nurideen Lindsay, a KEY piece of St. John's heralded recruiting class - and a kid who is said to have NBA-caliber talent, was a very highly regarded juco kid that Steve Lavin landed, and he was starting and playing a ton on a team that has only 7 kids who play (one of whom is Phil Greene, an ex-BU recruit and teammate of Shayok) - so he was guaranteed lots of PT!
He was their team leader, PG, and one of their leaders in virtually every stat category. (12 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 apg, 1.5 spg)
BUT -- rumor has it that although he got along great with Steve Lavin - he did not get along at all with Mike Dunlap who is filling in as head coach while Lavin is being treated for cancer.
There are smoldering rumors that everyone on the St. John's team is selfish and nobody ever wants to pass - and that is backed up by stats showing SJU has one of the lowest assists per game figures in the nation!
Lindsay still has TWO years of eligibility remaining.
The best overall player on the list is Stacy Poole, who left Kentucky but who should get plenty of BCS opportunities.

USF's Lavonte Dority will stay at USF and transfer at the end of the season
Kentucky's Stacy Poole has landed at Georgia Tech for some immediate playing time next year in mid-December
Pitt's Khem Birch will decide between UNLV & Florida
2 kids just bolted from Virginia , James Johnson & KT Harrell destinations yet unknown
Oregon's Bruce Barron has ruled out SIU but has not yet decided
Michigan 6-9 forward Jon Horford has a stress fracture in his right foot but when asked if thatmeant Max Bielfeldt would UN-REDSHIRT...head coach John Beilein said...
"That as brought up at the table (with the coaching staff) today," said Beilein
of 6-foot-7, 240-pound Bielfeldt, who is currently in a position to redshirt the
season. "But we have to see how the rest of us react, now that we're pretty
sure it'll be a week or two that Jon's not going to be around, at least."

six players are leaving the San Francisco program...
Six at one time is raising a lot of discussion oin San Francisco and it comes right on the heels of a very troubled, well travelled ex-UCLA player
announcing he's transferring to San Francisco...and may get the NCAA waiver to get immediate playing time .....LINK
BTW -- the coach at San Francisco is ex-Kansas Jayhawk star Rex Walters...how many know he is one of the four best Asian basketball players...
and one more piece of trivia - Rex Walters has one Hollywood credit - he starred (along with a few other NBAers) in the 1994 movie "Blue Chips" about a tough college basketball coach who is forced to find ways to get better recruits - so he begins wining, dining, paying, and providing "services" and suddenly gets a national-caliber team -- hmmm.....prophetic, huh??
Almost everyone's rankings of the Top 10 best sports movies always contain Blue Chips.

Wes Washpun - an Iowa kid who Cuonzo had been recruiting at Missouri State - then went to Tennessee and followed Cuonzo ..
(6-1 PG/combo guard)
however - he just left & will transfer after finding he simply isn't BCS-caliber and won't get playing time - but still (rumored) has interest in Missouri State
MSU also might be interested (as they need a PG to replace Mike Bizoukas) in pursuing or trying to try pry Bobo Drummond loose of his SIU verbal..

Then he butted heads with Dana Altman and was one of several highly rated Oregon players (Jabari Brown, Brett Kingma, Malcolm Armstead) who have left since the beginning of last season.
BUT - despite so many kids shopping their talents and landing somewhere else....it appears that Bruce Barron is still hanging out there and has yet to land anywhere....wonder what's going on???
