The Canadial National Basketball League is planning their inaugural All Star Game and other events like Dunk Contest for the weekend of Mar. 31- Apr. 1.

The game will be held on the home floor of the Halifax Rainmen, and fans are encouraged to vote for the players they think should be on the All Star Teams.

One other guy some will remember has quietly become a star in the Candian League..

Eddie Smith (6-2 PG) - from Springfield (IL) Southeast HS & UIS and had a cup of coffee in the CBA - and who played on the streetball tour and who has never been widely known, is now playing with the London Lightning, and scored 32 pts last night in a 129-117 win over Oshawa.
Eddie averages 15.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.2 apg, 1.7 spg, 78% on FT's and averages 7 FT attmpots per game
Smith plays on the same team as another local (ICC) Kyle Julius - who is taking a break from his poker touring to play some pro ball.
